    Too many hobbies...

It seems that a lot of people are jumping to Plex. The main reason that I went with SageTV was because of their hardware extenders, and their compact size. Here is a picture I took when I first mounted my extender: Here is another after we painted, and I re-hung the TV: Note that the...

Windows Media Center can do this, and it has a pretty nice interface. Content can be streamed to other PCs, accessing the data on the main 'server'. Additionally, Xbox's can also be used to act as extenders as well. Personally, I use SageTV. It's a discontinued product because Google bought...

    Too many hobbies...

It really depends on what you want... Are you JUST looking to have a movie server, or are you interested in it doing other things (e.g. PVR for TV recording)? Additionally, where do you want to distribute the video, or do you just want it on a singular TV?

So much for that idea here... I forgot that AGO has a timeout on the ability to go back and edit a post. Unfortunately, that means that I can't go back and update picture links :(

Ugh! Mike Phillips was right! (Not the exact reason, but close enough!) Hosting your images in the gallery of the forum is the best way to go... I've been using ImageShack for image hosting for a long time and they've recently changed their TOS to become a paid service. Having said that I will...

Hey Yancy, can you do this? Digital downloads for iPad

I think the best thing would be to setup them up as Podcasts (which are downloadable). I'm subscribed to a number of Podcasts. Whenever new ones are posted, they are automatically downloaded to my iPad. I don't always keep track of them while I'm home, which gives me something to do every time...

    Gift certificates?

That's exactly what I was trying to point out above. Why do this rather than the dollar amount? You may have to put in a lot more time because of an unknown vehicle condition. However, if you used a dollar amount, it wouldn't matter, because for $X amount, you provide $X amount of...

    Gift certificates?

I guess the auto deposit part is cool. I've been using PayPal for my business for ~10 years. Once I saw the offer for a free reader, I went ahead and requested one. The PayPal fee is similar (it varies slightly depending on if the card being swiped or if the card number was manually entered)...

    Gift certificates?

Why do it this way when you know that every vehicle may need varying levels of work? This GC is for (1) Paint correction * * GC excludes level III water spots, severe swirls, etc. That sort of coupon is so vauge. How do you explain to a customer that his car has 'severe' swirls and...

    Gift certificates?

This is basically exactly what I did (below)... although I didn't use Photoshop, but I did use a professional level graphics program. Once the template is done, it's as easy as typing in the customers name. How do you like the Square? I've got the PayPal Here reader, which is linked...

    Why do so many detailers...

I totally get what both of you are saying and I definitely agree that each person should know the individual market. What I was trying to point out was more along the lines of... where you buy your coffee, or breakfast, or whatever today? Let's say you like Starbucks like millions of other...

    Why do so many detailers...

Reminds me of the early-mid 90's mini-trucks. When the frame is sitting on the ground, everyone towers over it :) Not all that different from seeing how some people fit in Smart Cars or those mini Fiats today.
