Removing swirls and making my truck took great again.

I haven't done this before, but the policy is usually "least aggressive first". Given what you've described, you might be able to start off with the UC and a white pad. I doubt it, but it's worth a try. Disclaimer. Never done this before, but I have read a lot of threads on here. Others...

    My first rinseless wash!

Thanks for the info about the mitt guys, I was getting worried that it was just my technique with it. I was thinking about picking up some Supreme Guzzler. Hopefully they're BOGO when I put together my next order. I'll give the plush MF followed by the WW technique a try the next time I wash...

    opti-coat 2 vs. eggs

What the heck is wrong with people that they think it's funny to cause so much damage to somebody's personal property?

Spring 2012 - The Beast is out of Hibernation...

No problem at all! I'm looking at a used 2011 with the Brembo package on it, but I'll have to take the car out in the rain sometimes, possibly the snow. If I did get the car I would drop some snow tires on it during the winter but was unsure of what wet handling would be like. It's not like...

Spring 2012 - The Beast is out of Hibernation...

Awesome looking car. Obviously you don't drive it in the snow, but have you ever had it out in the rain? How do the summer only tires handle under wet/damp conditions?

    Microfiber towels lose water absorbability

It's what I used to use before picking up some dedicated MF cleaner conditioner.

    Which Polisher / Detail Bag?

The Griot's bag looks really nice. I have the autogeek bag and really like it. If I do go with the Griot's polisher, I'll probably have to pick up another one. Why do you say it's 20 dollars less though? It looks like it's the same price as the Autogeek bag.

    Which one to get?

I must have missed this package, cause it sounds like a really good one! Have you pulled the trigger yet?

Removing leather smell from new car

I would just keep a bottle of Stripper Sent from Chemical Guys in the glove compartment.

    Oh no, a scratch!

So here's another photo, to give a better idea of what I've got. I think I know the correct procedure at this point, but I'm hoping somebody will look and this and be like, "oh yea, use product X and it'll go right away!" Sorry, the car is a little dirty from being on the road and sitting in...

New BF plan would it be overkill?

I would certainly clay the car before applying any of the protection. Then just keep an eye on it. I think you might be going overkill with the CS just based off of the product description, especially if you're using all BF products which are supposed to renew the protection of the other BF...

    Grit Guard Gap

They won't stop the water as much, but they'll still should impede the swirling effect of the water, possibly enough where it's not much of a problem. I talked to AG's customer support today. What I took from the discussion is that while it's not a perfect setup, the grit guard should still do...

i need suggestions for a HID/LED hand held light

So I just did a quick look at the "how to" articles on the store and didn't see a "How to swirl finder". I think even if there was an article I'd still be interested in hearing what you have to say about proper "swirl finding" technique. Please, share!

i need suggestions for a HID/LED hand held light

It sounds like the Brinkman is a favorite. Interestingly enough, the reviews on Autogeek about it aren't all that great.

Quick Detailer / Gloss Enhancer after Drying

I use the Megs. Ultimate Quick Detailer, but am considering moving to the BF stuff as I just picked up some BFWD when it was on sale and I want to stay "in the system" for my protection racket, er coatings.

What do you dry your car off with?

Question, how many do you have? It seems to me that when I use the water magnet, it starts to streak after just a few panels. I've got two, and that just barely is enough to finish off my Mustang.

    Grit Guard Gap

Yes, he does this in the rinseless wash video. If you look at the description of the grit guard, it's also recommended that you do this. If that's the case then Autogeek is selling buckets that are incompatible with the grit guards they're selling. I bought the bucket/guard combos and that's...

    Grit Guard Gap

I have the same problem. I bought my buckets and grit guards from auto geek, and instead of the grit guard sitting at the bottom of the bucket it gets stuck before it can get there because of how the bucket narrows. I don't think this is a problem. When you drag your wash medium against the...

What do you dry your car off with?

I use waffle weave towels. Unfortunately, although they all claim to be the only towel needed, I end up using several. I'm thinking of picking up the BOGO waffle weaves today.
