Make that 4-6 mils. I don't know what I was thinking. Must have been an air bubble in the brain.

If you go through your clear coat it will be a lot harder to get out bed. OEM clear is so thin at 2 mils. When I do a paint job I put on about 8-10 mils of clear. You can wet sand that to your hearts content and not go through the clear.

I have searched on reload and streaking and have tried all of your suggestions, but I still get streaking on my black car. The LSP on the car is WDGPS. Is Reload fussy about what you use it over?

Isn't it frustrating when that happens! I used a cotton diaper one time thinking it couldn't get much softer than that and it scratched too. I have given up trying to keep my black car perfect. I wouldn't have any clear coat left if I tried to keep it scratch free under an inspection light.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are intended to let people know what chemicals are present from a safety standpoint. It affects things like ingestion, shipping, storage, etc. It has nothing to do with pad selection.

I will always use a polish after compounding so I am most interested in the compounding ability. I should probably give M100 a try. I've been using FG400 and really have no complaints, but like most people I was looking to save a little money.
