Auto detailing vs ____X___? Detailer in your daily life or just your car?

Ty...thats why I like this site. I feel to a degree people here get where I am coming from. When I quote things from this site I usually get the same response, "You belong to a detailing forum?"

Auto detailing vs ____X___? Detailer in your daily life or just your car?

I am the most OCD person I know, besides my parents. My car, house, workstation at work all stay very clean and organized. If something is out of place it gives me anxiety. My kids most likely hate me for it and probably my coworkers too. ;) I have never been one to spend hours on a weekend...

    Cleaning exhaust tips

Might sound very unorthodox but I've used Sea Foam on a rag and took off all kinds of crap from my tips, since my car runs real rich and I get lots of carbon buildup. Havent had a issue with doing it this way all spring now.

    My employee screwed up today

Sorry about the mishap but remember your employee is a human being, not a robot. S*it happens. I doubt he intentionally made the mistake. He isn't perfect, nor are you or any of us. I'm assuming he's a grown adult and if so I don't feel he needs to be lectured further or given a pretty pink...

    Hand compounding/polishing. Tips?

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around hand compounding/polishing and when I need to utilize it. My car has several spots where I'm certain I won't be able to get my GG6, even with the small 4" pads so I think I'll have to get those spots by hand. Unfortunately, I don't see...

    Cutting Factory OP

I looked in our employee parking lot and found about 5 cars immediately with orange peel. All makes and models including my Hyundai. Been looking at this more closely and it seems more common than not. I would deal with it if it were me. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    Show us your pet.

This is my 6 yr old, Ollie. My Wife and I, originally went to the APL to rescue a dog but didn't find any suitable (25lbs or less) that our landlord would allow. On our way out we found this guy who had been there for almost 4 mos and looked miserable. He was roughly 11 mos old. We brought him...

    Your favorite color vehicle.

Titanium Silver. Dark enough to look good but light enough to not show a ton of light defects (swirls). When dirty it still looks fairly clean.

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

I appreciate the information and really wished this site had a "like" option. I decided to keep my GG6 due to the great advice I got. Will learn off this platform and once I graduate and need something better, its a good feeling to know I have some great choices to choose from in Rubes, Flex...

Yes, something like that. Wal-Mart has something very similar but wasn't sure how well it would hold up as it feels pretty cheap and flimsy and not necessarily rated for chemicals. Wasn't sure if there was something out there that would be more durable but that style is close to what I'm looking...

In an effort to get my products a little more organized I am looking for some type of containers, preferably something that lies on it's side with an easy pour spout that I can put my concentrated APC and quick detailer in once I mix it up. I'd like to mix up a gallon at a time but I'm having a...

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

I do have a 3" BP for my GG6 and my car does have some pretty funky angles so I am thinking I will likely keep the GG6. That could change but like you, as well as others have mentioned it is a good idea to have both. I hadnt thought about that. Thank you.

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Points taken! I already have the Lake Country 3.5" & 5" BP's as well as the pads. I'm all set to go. Every damn day off I've had it's rained or I have a commitment so unfortunately I've not been able to get my hands on it. I have a garage but it's no place for detailing so I'm at the mercy of...

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Honestly it comes down to being new technology and from your review, which I enjoyed btw, it looks like it will be a very nice machine. The other reviews are positive as well. I like the upgrades I see on this machine, even if there is some imitation going on. If I sell the GG6 now it is new and...

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

I bought the GG6 about 2 months ago and have yet to use it due to weather, work and just life. Debating on whether I should sell it off and just buy the BOSS. For all you pro's out there I have never used a polisher. Have always done things by hand so I'm wondering.... Do you think I should...
