the passes with PC didn't work, maybe because it wasnt rotating, cuz after I use mike's tip on marking them, and using the KB method after, i got same results as the makita with orange pad, so I did the whole other side the car with PC, easier on my back.

i did try the KB style with the PC, It worked jus as good as the rotary, thanks to Mike for the tip on marking the pads, maybe my 1st tries with the PC only virbates and not rotating? lol thanks mike anyways.

Does anyone use a 3.75 in plate with 5.5 pads?

I find the 8.5in pads not suitable for doors and bumpers, does anyone use 8in pads for the whole car?

I just like to know, what size pads do yous commonly use on a rotary? I now have 8.5in LC pads, 6in edge double side pads ( w/o an adapter yet), 5in pads and spot 4in pads. backing plates I have 7in 5in 4in for the rotary. I don't see many use double side pads, why? is it fairly new?

before I was in AG, I throught the hardtop paint job was very good. after all the knowledge I gain here ( thanks to you all), the paint job is crap, sand marks are still there, lots of overspray, mis match colors, on and on. dents.

Im new to detailing period, I find the makita easy to use, I detailed two cars already with the Makita, one came out with holograms by me moving the buffer too quickly, but now I jus added the PC to fix it. I never try the light weight flex, so I cant comment on that one.

I did practiced on panels before this, we are planing to correct the holograms at 12/28 with the PC. my plan is use the PC with the Edge double side 6in White pad at speed 4 or 5 with Four Star Machine Glaze & Polish.

I got a rotary makita, I believe I need one more pass with the M205, the swirls are only visuable at a angle. I have two details tomorrow, a 08 blue honda s2000 and 08 vw passat sliver. I'll post pictures tomorrow night after I'm done.
