    KSG tips/techniques

KSG being my favorite product, I'll give you all the advice based on how I use it.. 1. use a "regular" round m/f applicator... probably around 3" or so in diameter 2. apply a line of KSG across the middle of the applicator, and a bit away from the edges 3. fold the applicator in half so that...

Since I got great help/input on my business cards, I'll ask the same for the flyers... Front is obviously not complete yet, but that's the idea... put Name, #, website and e-mail, then a few pictures showing all around the car, clean hopefully :D Back is pretty much finished What do you guys...

    PC extension adapter...

Thanks for the info. I have actually found a guy on a local car forum that'll make me one for free or dirt cheap... he does machining work daily and is currently working on building a E36 BMW drag car, so he's turned his garage into a welding/cutting/etc... lab. Anyway, I never had the edge...

    Twisted Ankle

Grab a Miller bottle from the fridge (save the Heineken for drinking :D) and roll the bottle under your bad foot. I play soccer and twisted ankles happen pertty often, although less painfull and severe than yours I imagine... either way, roll the bottle for 5-10 mins at a time, then ice and...

    PC extension adapter...

This is why I think the Edge adapters go bad, but this will be a simple piece of metal and I doubt it'll cause any damage, at least not for a while

    PC extension adapter...

How much would your machine shop charge for such an adapter? Obviously I want one for the PC, about 1" long and minimum possible o.d. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the adapter on your rotary? I know you did it just to fit the backing plate, but do you feel a difference when the pad...

    PC extension adapter...

Oh so your Metabo is a 5/8"?? Where did you make this? That is exactly what I had in mind, and I might have actually been thinking of these pictures when I thought about the adapter for the PC. Did you do it yourself or had a shop do it for you?

    PC extension adapter...

I've noticed the PC makes the backing plate extremely hot and there's a lot of melting going on. A guy on autopia I think melted the backing plate so bad that it was curved all around and the pad looked like it went through a house fire... I just want something to give me a little distance...

    PC extension adapter...

I have no clue what the correct term for this is, but I could've sworn I saw something about it on the forums... The backing plate gets pretty hot most of the time when using the PC, and I was wondering if anyone had any information as far as some extension adapter is concerned... something 1-2"...

    03 911 Turbo

Honestly, I think many of those "hacks" could do a very decent job with a PC maybe even rotary... problem is that they see the opportunity for easy money by doing quantity over quality, and once the laziness sets in, cars are doomed. I have luckily and unfortunately had the pleasure of...

    03 911 Turbo

I mentioned it above... it seemed like many of the swirls were caused by the dealer and a harsh compund/polish... I have used #84 and 85 a few times and I'm familiar with the kind of scratches they leave behind in order to remove some deeper stuff... the owner actually said he didn't notice much...
