    Flex Backing Plate

The final version of the Flex BP is 5.5" and depending upon where you purchased it, they should've sent you the replacement if you Flex did not already come with the new 5.5" BP. The new one has a layer of white material in between the hard plastic section the gears drive and the velcro section...

New Flex Backing Plate Pics Up!!!

I received another e-mail back from Ben at Powerhouse, and said that no matter where you purchased yours originally (AG, DetailedImage, etc.) that you can call them with your serial # to get the replacement. It is key to have the serial # for tracking purposes. Also mentioned that in the...

I received an e-mail back from Ben and he said that they have about 50 in to start the replacement process for those that haven't received this on their Flex when it initially came. He said to make sure you have your serial # off the Flex when calling in. Hopefully, mine will be shipping out...

New Flex Backing Plate Pics Up!!!

Not sure...I was able go order one of the limited 5" bps they had for a while and if memory serves correctly it was about $14. I'm sure this one would retail more since there is more to it.

Big Kid Toys - Flex Polisher

Yes, I do find myself religiously taping trim while using the Flex now. Picked up a 3 or 4 pack of 3m painter's tape at Costco on the cheap a few weeks ago.

Big Kid Toys - Flex Polisher

Wasn't there some rumors floating around of the next gen UDM being around $200? If so, for the extra money, the Flex is really a no-brainer. Unless the UDM can come close to the Flex's performance, and rid itself of quality control issues.

Big Kid Toys - Flex Polisher

Hey, Zoran, not sure if you still read any threads over at the other detailing sites, but there's been some negative press on the UDM lately. Sounds like it may be due to a bad batch or something, but they're randomly dying. Makes me think back to some of the e-mails we traded. Cat's out of...

Big Kid Toys - Flex Polisher

I've had my Flex for a couple fo months now and really haven't been disappointed with it yet. I've done about 5-6 details with it, and it continues to be a workhorse. I've posted several reviews/pics on some other sites that some of you may have seen. ZoranC first got me excited about it, and...

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

Here's a copy / paste from "another website" that I just posted on regarding a Honday Odyssey I did today: I just finished up the exterior on Odyssey minivan I had this weekend. it's for my neighbor across the street. He's a lawyer, so I'm trading detailing services for legal services. Same...

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

I'm going to do a couple of posts here on some questions that have come up and on a detail I finished up today on the exterior. As for burning pain, I have not yet and have worked some areas probably a little longer than they should've been worked. I felt that paint afterwards, and it was...

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

Hey, Cooter, I think it was you that put me into contact with Zoran after what happened on autopia. Good to see you again! They do have some real wingnuts running around over there. I haven't spent all too much time on this form, but that might be changing soon.

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

It's definitely good to see the Flex community growing. I'll be doing a Honday Odyssey minivan this weekend with it. I usually post reviews and pics on Autopia, but will have to post some pics here as well. Right now my plan of attack is orange pad + Menz IP + speed 6 and let the big dog eat!!!

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

From the information that I gathered talking with Powerhouse Distributing and some other online retailers, I think the best way for places such as AG to sell the Flex is part of a package deal. Recently, I've seen one other retailer selling the Flex outside of Powerhouse. You figure that folks...

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

Hey, Zoran, I just got mine today. When I spoke with Powerhouse earlier this week, it sounded like they were initially looking at a 130mm (5.12") bp, but a larger one is on order from Germany at 140mm (5.51"). They had about 7 or so of the smaller one in stock and that's the one I ordered...

has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

I'm probably one of the the other big supporters of the Flex right now. I've posted several reviews and pics on "other detailing forums". I haven't really posted anything here out of fear of mods coming after me for a product that AG doesn't carry. Here's just a taste: After: Don't...

Tried my PC on my friends C5

I'm a big fan of Menz Power Gloss. Have had very good results with it on an '07 Caddy STS. It's red with a black flake in it. Really a beautiful color. it was swirled to all hell and had some surface scratches on it. I used my PC w/ 6" yellow Edge 2k and PG. For the tought scratches areas...
