2017 Audi RS7 in Mythos Black Metallic. Gloss crazy!!!

Looks awesome! I looked through the pics yesterday, and was thinking that it would be cool to get a nice German beast like that through here to work on. Phone rang an hour ago, and I booked an RS6 V8 bi-turbo for full paint correction and ceramic coating for Friday! It’s even metallic black...

    A little BRAG on FLEX

It is long throw. I would prefer a forced rotation, but I’m sure it will do what I need it to.

    A little BRAG on FLEX

Good to hear the customer service is as good as the tools. I have been using the 3401 for 3 years, and can’t imagine working without it. I still break out the rotary from time to time, but the Flex machines are my go to tools for most Jobs. If you are on the fence about the 3” Flex, with the 15%...

Just pulled the trigger. Bought the Flex 3” DA polisher

I ordered the starter kit with the 6 flex pads, and ordered a variety of orange, pink, white and yellow ccs pads. I use ccs smart pads on the 3401. Mostly yellow, orange, and white, so I Figured I would go with what I know. I will post when I have tried both and give my opinion on which I prefer.

Just pulled the trigger. Bought the Flex 3” DA polisher

Finally did it. Saw 15% off polishers, and decided it’s time. I have been doing mostly ceramic coating jobs, and the vehicles continue to get newer, nicer, and more expensive . So I decided to up my paint correction game, and add the Flex 3” DA to the 2 3401 polishers I already own. Can’t wait...

Anyone here had a total hip replacement? Looking for info

It's been about 4.5 weeks since the surgery. It went well according to the doc, although he did say it was worse than they thought once they got in there. Been doing exercises and getting around with a walker since the day after surgery, until this week when I started physical therapy...

Anyone here had a total hip replacement? Looking for info

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I have been laying low, waiting to jump through all the hoops. Pre op appt. is Thursday, and surgery is the 28th. The surgeon is going through the front, which is supposed to reduce trauma, downtime, etc. Doc says I should be able to get back to work in 3-4...

Anyone here had a total hip replacement? Looking for info

Thanks for the input. I am 46, and in decent health. A few lbs over what I would like to weigh, but not fat. I do smoke, but currently quitting before the surgery. I will have owned my own detailing business for 2 years come may, and word was starting to get out before I was benched in October...

Anyone here had a total hip replacement? Looking for info

Long story short, I will be having a total hip replacement soon, and I am concerned about how this will affect my ability to continue detailing. I have read that while it will improve my quality of life, some of my ability to sit low, crouch, and kneel may be lessened. I can't get in to the...

Parking Lots - bit of a rant

I feel your pain. I have a 94 Jeep Wrangler with nearly 180k miles on it, still in better condition than most new ones. Came out of the store that I was in for two minutes, and some jackwagon backed into it, destroyed the factory style chrome bumper, then drove off. I parked in the middle of the...

Why isn't everyone using coatings if it is "better" than sealants?

Probably 80% of my correction jobs are topped with Wolfgang uber ceramic. The other 20%, HD Speed is used. I haven't touched a wax or sealant in months.

Anyone Paint Corrected a Nissan Leaf before?

I had a 2013 leaf come through about a year ago. Light metallic blue. Soft paint, but some of the worst hard water spots I have ever seen. paint, windows, trim, all covered in them. Spent 14 hours with my flex 3401, various pads, and all the Wolfgang products. Looked like a million bucks when I...

Wrecked 2014 Black Jeep Wrangler Polished and Coated

Great job on a trashed jeep. I had the exact same model/color come through a couple of months ago. Owner had been four wheeling it pretty hard, as well as hard water marks and rids everywhere. Polished and coated it with Wolfgang products. It looks like a million bucks now. Jeeps are...

    First Time Using HD Speed

Looks good! Speed is an amazing product. I would ditch the squeegee though. Only thing I use them for is pet hair removal on interior jobs.

    Newbie to motorcycle detailing

I do bikes, and the biggest tip I can give, is don't put dressing on tires, seat, controls, or foot pegs. Those are not places you want to be slick. Just use a good apc, and get them as clean as you can.

Should I coat my car before taking it to a body shop?

I agree with Guz. There will be "extra" stuff to deal with after the body shop has their way with it. Polish it to perfection after they do their work. But you also need to wait for the fresh paint to off gas before coating it.

    Just had to share

Let me start off by saying I am more of a lurker than poster. I have planned to post reviews, and don't seem to find time to do them.Been at this game for over 15 years, and have seen and done a lot, but always trying to learn and improve myself and my abilities. I got a Facebook review the...
