well i used meguiars ultimate compound on orange pad it took about 2-3 passes each section to get to where i was happy with the results.... and dr oldz what I did was I found that applying any wax or polish after the ultimate compound stage made it dull again until I applied meguiars number 7...

I am working on a 90 lumina with single stage paint i have applied 4 coats of number 7 letting it soak in and be easier to work with....I am using a dynabrade on rotary to convert to DA....i am using a 5" backing plate and ccs orange with ultimate compound....after a couple passes paint looks...

I recently attempted to bring life back to the paint on my 71 demon and I did as the article states, washed, then clayed, then i took mf towel worked the number 7 heavy and scrubbed vigorously into paint shaking the car in fact...I only let it soak for about 6 hours wiped it off it looked great...
