    Abarth Museum

One of my partners flew the Crusader in Vietnam. Always had a love for that one as well as the A7.

    Abarth Museum

Ha! I knew this post wouldn't go without someone commenting on the swirls. Yes, a lot of them. Nevertheless, it really was a treat to look at these vehicles and all the planes outside - even if they were is disrepair.

    Abarth Museum

Greetings, all. Thought of all you guys, especially Klasse Act, when we visited the Chateau Savigny Les Beaune in France. The owner of this chateau is quite eclectic and has the Guinness world record for the largest collection of fighter jets (yes, jets like Mig-23s, Desault Mirages, F16, F86s...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thanks, Roger. Looking forward to heading out to Rise and Drive. It's also time to re-up with some new AG products!

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

It's been an age since I posted, but this was really first wash and detail since 2018. It was a long winter. Decontamination with CarPro Iron Snow. Wash with TAC System Mystic Bubble. Interior cleaned with Kenotek. Wheels cleaned with Gtechniq wheel cleaner. I then used a year old bottle of...

Hard water spot removal after ceramic coating

Based on those photos, I'd say you need to correct the paint again. The coating seems to have taken a hit while protecting your paint. Haven't had much success with Essence+. Frankly, I think a finishing polish like plain old Essence or Gyeon Primer with a new coating would restore it to what...

    Idea for Felt Wheel Liners

Nope. I have them, and as someone who drives in the city all the time, they suck there too! I use the Tuff Shine brush to brush the felt liners (when dry) to get off the bulk of the stuff and then use the pressure washer to really clean them.

When it pays to have your significant other be a "car person"

I won't valet. I won't park next to a minivan. I won't park next to a two door car. I won't park next to a car with rust or damage, and I always avoid parking next to a car with child car seats. So, basically I drive around in circles until the sweet spot opens....but that means I'm usually...

Cleaning bird poop... Full wash or QD?

I'm a fan of throwing the wet MF towel on the poop and letting it rehydrate. After that (time is variable), I use a waterless wash to wipe the poop away. I will usually WW the whole panel so it doesn't look unevenly clean. I've used Poorboys as well as various APCs and grime removers, but a...

Has any used Gtech Exo on glass. I need a windshield coating suggestions welcomed

I second that. BUT, it lasted 2 years on my car with awesome results. Wipers started skipping, so that's when I went with 22PLE at that point. That lasted two years. Cancoat currently...but I have a bottle of McKee's just itching to be opened.

    Applying Skin Down the Road

    Thanks, Jeff. This is encouraging!

    Applying Skin Down the Road

Nice! I'm really trying to reduce those "unnecessary toppers" and just let Syncro do its thing over the next year(s), but I was hoping I could use this left over Skin if needed.

    Applying Skin Down the Road

Jeff or anyone: Is it ill advised to apply a layer of Skin months after the original application of Synco? I have extra Skin, and I am just curious if I use something like Gyeon Prep if there would be issues applying Skin. Note: this would be an application of Skin months after the original...

    Guess My Trim Wasn't Tight!

I wonder if I can reconstitute it with some petroleum products and then use on some other surface? Hmmm:xyxthumbs:

    Guess My Trim Wasn't Tight!

The dropper is the reason. I've actually had it since last summer and have used it on a few cars. I usually recap with the original and store in my house in drawer, but for some reason I didn't recap this time. I found that most of my coatings last well over a year when stored in this manner...

    Guess My Trim Wasn't Tight!

I was going to apply some of my Gyeon Trim to my car's plastic today. I guess I didn't store it in an airtight environment! (I guess that should remove any doubt as to the silica content!)
