    Gyeon Coating Questions

I've had Mohs on my car for over a year now, and that includes the Chicago winter. I drive daily into the city, and, frankly, the Eisenhower is one of the dirtiest roads I've driven on in years. It rains frequently during the winter. Salt. Grime. Sand. I haven't once regretted using Mohs on my...

Good quick detailer for ceramic coated vehicle

Menzerna FG400. Gets the dust off every time! Or ECH2O / N914 / Aqua Waterless. Depends on my mood...and time. :buffing:

Review: McKee's 37 Turbo Car Dryer - Comparison With Master Blaster And Sidekick

Again, I see a review done by Marc that I previously missed. Again, I am blown away by the detail and thoroughness of the review. Nice job, Marc. Alas, I have the metro. In retrospect, I would buy the McKees...

Coated my tires today and WOW,

@spazzz, Coat 'em. :) I usually don't mount mine until November when we're consistently below 50, but I'm think in should at least bring them off the shelf now while it's still warm, wash them and give them the TW treatment. (Sent via my mobile device...)

Coated my tires today and WOW,

Never used it on my winter tires. Mostly my wife's tires. I neglect her tires, and I think the stuff lasts a couple of weeks or so. Never used black pearl. Good stuff? (Sent via my mobile device...)

Coated my tires today and WOW,

I agree that TAC Tire coating isn't much of a coating. I do see it as more of a dressing as well. Nevertheless, I think it's a wonderful dressing even though it lasts only two to three weeks at best. This in my opinion is slightly worse than Gyeon Tire which I believe is sold as a coating...

Kenotek Showroom Shine, is it that good?

5 liters, not gallons, Roger! LOL. My take on Kenotek Showroom Shine: I've been using it for over a year now. I think it's great. I did a mini-review of it and compared it to FK425 on my car. I used it extensively as a drying aid and as a quick detailer. I've shared it with Roger because I knew...

What actually happens when you top a ceramic coating with a wax or sealant?

Kenotek is great stuff...but I don't use it much anymore. I've really narrowed down my inventory of things that top our coated cars, and that's basically using shampoos, waterless washes and topping agents that were designed for coated cars. Regular soap: CarPro Reset or Mystic Bubble SiO2...

So how is this guys technique?

Looked at it a few times. I thought his passes were done a bit quickly. But, it depends upon what you're trying to correct as well. It possible that new Model S had pretty good paint condition. Maybe he had already done some more intense passes with m205 and was just doing some touching up of...

Wash car with 1 bucket and multiple mitts?

I have to admit that I'm moving more in the direction of one bucket with multiple mitts for my own cars. This really works only if you have one for each panel. It does, however, create more laundry. (Sent via my mobile device...)

    Drying Agent - Why Not?

Depends on what's on top of your paint. Coating? Use ECH2O or Aqua WW as your drying aid. Final buff adds SiO2.

    Headlight restoration

Must be some very superficial and minimal fading for that trick to work. Given the nature polycarbonate and its diffuse yellowing with UV light, I think you need to use an abrasive to get anywhere with restoration. The degree of fading and thickness of the discoloration will dictate whether you...

    NEW MC KEES sio2 WASH

I'm not defending the product or anything, but perhaps the market is different from what you provide or the traditional market approach to car maintenance. Perhaps the notion is that this is a one and done product that cleans and protects without the need for anything else. If you have no...
