Detail bag froze. Some ok, some not.

Sorry to hear about that. I'm willing to bet that if the products don't go back into solution that AG will replace them. Just contact customer service to establish a claim and let them know you may be requesting a refund or replacement if the products aren't usable. In that vein, that's why I...

    ONR perfect for MIchigan Winters

I do a method similar to Gary Dean as well. Like Roger, I use all 8 quarters of an 1100 GSM towel. I tend to have it pretty wet, but not dripping with solution. It's probably one of those things where using a very clean mitt with a grit guard is just as safe as using the GD method, but the GD...

    ONR perfect for MIchigan Winters

I'm with Roger. It takes a minute or two to spray my car down with a good coating of N914 or WGURW before heading to the actual rinseless wash, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not using WGURW that much anymore. It's been straight up N914 or CarPro ECH2O now.

Review: GYEON Q2 ONE Enthusiast Ceramic Coating by Mike Phillips

I've missed them for sure! They end up repelling all water it seems! (Sent via my mobile device...)

What was I thinking ordering in these temps??

Have had more than a few polishes, APCs and even some of the Polish Angel sprays freeze up - all OK. (Sent via my mobile device...)

Review: GYEON Q2 ONE Enthusiast Ceramic Coating by Mike Phillips

That's a great write-up, Mike. As always, you offer great new & alternative perspectives for newcomers and experienced detailers alike, and I do think your coverage of the high spots is a great one. I'm glad someone else seems to use a lot of prep solution as well; I tend to use less Gtechniq...

    CarPro Hydrofoam users...please chime in!

SiO2 must have partially cured by that time -- either way, couldn't get it out with a WW, RW or 2BW. The only thing that got rid of it was time + polishing. A similar thing happened when I first tried Reload - streaking. It got better only with time + polishing. That plus lackluster performance...

    CarPro Hydrofoam users...please chime in!

Glad it worked out, Roger. I think my issue with HydroFoam was the fact that I did the whole car like I normally would foam, and some areas dried out before I was able to complete the washing/rinsing job. Usually that's been in the summer when the temps are much higher. Perhaps at 35 degrees...

Amateur detailer looking to upgrade his polisher and perhaps pads and products - Advice needed

I agree with everyone here about the PC being a fine tool and that you might want to try going with a smaller backing plate and smaller/thinner pads. However, if you really do want to upgrade your polisher, I'd look at the GG15 or the GG21 (Griots Garage). Excellent performance with a lifelong...

    CarPro Hydrofoam users...please chime in!

Roger, you can use it as a standalone wash. You foam up a section and then wash with a mitt. I do this in sections. This is unlike other foaming products, since there is a concern for streaking if it dwells too long. (Sent via my mobile device...)

    Ubercicle

My bottles of Polish Angel frozen during transit last year. Once they thawed out, they worked just fine.

2015 Impala with Gyeon Syncro (MOHS + Skin)

Beautiful, Guz. You really put a lot of effort into that car, and the Syncro looks great. I'd like to hear your opinions as well on Skin v. Booster. I did not like Booster at all. I felt it flashed too quickly, and half the time I couldn't tell if I was applying any product or whether my mf...

    Paint Coating Prices

Welcome to Autogeek! You will probably have to do some searching on this and see what the local competition is offering. Prices will vary depending upon the type of coating you are going to apply as well. Certainly you would charge less for applying McKee's coating than you would if you were to...

    New Gyeon Products

I really like it. This + Mystic Bubble have been my maintenance wash shampoos for 2016 and 2017.

    New Gyeon Products

Not sure how it's going to be distributed. However, Gyeon's website lists Mohs+ and Mohs as individual products -- separate from the Syncro packaging. The Mohs packaging states that it is new for 2018. Interestingly, I didn't see Syncro listed on the same page!

    Need help choosing a da

Although I do not have one, after reading about them and having previously owned a GG6, I would definitely buy a GG21. With the warranty and whole BOSS system, I think the GG21 is a system that is a winner. I have been contemplating selling my Rupes 15 and going with the GG15 so I can keep...

    Who cares about Wheels?

As much as it is a pain, I think the best route is to coat your wheels during a "wheel's off" detail. I realize some don't have this capability, but every spring I take down the summer wheels and give the wheel and the tires a good cleaning. Unlike Monica, who sets the best example, I only...

So does AG only publish positive reviews?

Reviews are very subjective, and few put any real thought into the review or base it on any significant testing. But, to the OP's point, here are some with pretty low grades: https://www.autogeek.net/carpro-fog-fight-kit.html https://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-pressure-sprayer.html...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

At the coin op where I go, unless there is a line of vehicles, they don't seem to care what I do in the bay. As a courtesy, I usually just spray off the salt and grim, drive home and do a rinseless wash in my garage.
