Please help me not pull my hair out over this brake dust.

I'm fairly certain it's non clear coated, bare aluminum. It's the inside of the wheel so it's not shiny and slick like the outside spokes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Please help me not pull my hair out over this brake dust.

Hmm. Interesting Tundra. I recently moved to an area with pretty harsh winters and that's when I first began to notice this. It was easier keeping them clean back towards the coast because weather was mostly mild every day and I could go out and clean them. However I first began noticing this in...

Please help me not pull my hair out over this brake dust.

Wheel brightener should be okay on that bare wheel right? I'm pretty sure the front of these wheels is clear coated so I need to make sure and not get any on the front right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hmm. Might try that. Do you guys think wheel brightener would dent it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Please help me not pull my hair out over this brake dust.

I'm at my wits end here guys. I've got a wheel off my Trailblazer SS trying to give the wheel barrel a good clean and I have hit it with everything shy of napalm and this baked on, imbedded crud won't go away! It's like cockroaches. I have tried: -P21S gel letting it sit and scrubbed until...

    Strange stain in paint?

Hey guys. This is my own personal vehicle. Yes it's in rough shape, but I recently moved and it has had to sit outside with little to no love and kindness for quite a while. Anyways, I came out to find this a few weeks ago and don't have a clue what it is. It can't be felt, so it's not...

Can't Get Rid Of Brown Tires!

Sorry for reviving an old thread here but as I was reading this I have become a bit confused. Both mine and my wife's car tend to get the tire blooming over time. From reading this, however, these are the views I gather: 1. It's a natural process which is unavoidable no matter what you clean...

Ever have a client ask you if you would change their oil?

Bingo. This was my mindset, which is why I asked.

Is it something you would consider if they $$?

    Post your detailing bags.....pics.

The GG bag looks awesome. All those compartments and holders are sweet. Getting a little nitpicky, but I wish it was just solid black.

Not understanding the differences in sanding methods.

^^ Wow. Thanks a lot for the in-depth response Mike. I really appreciate that. Reading over some of these articles now.

Not understanding the differences in sanding methods.

Right. That was the gist of my question. I hadn't heard of anyone dry sanding paint and didn't know why it was specific to different paints.

What are you thankful for today ?

Amen to that my man. Thankful for my Lord, my wife, healthy family and friends, and a good job.

Not understanding the differences in sanding methods.

Hey guys. Happy Thanksgiving. I was reading something the other day that said dry sanding was meant for factory paint while wet sanding was meant for repaints. I'm fairly confident I've seen guys wet sand factory paint. Can you guys substantiate this claim?

    Strange crud on wheels

Hmm. Good spot Brody. Gosh this things gonna be a pain to get off. Possible stupid question, but can I use the same compound like I would use on paint followed by a metal polish?

    Strange crud on wheels

I have not yet. If it is into the clear coat, then I am a little baffled. It's a 2011 with 45k miles. I've seen 10 and 12 year old DDs that didn't have this. Kinda makes me wonder what in the world could have caused it...

    Strange crud on wheels

Hey guys. Got a Sonata 2.0T here with some strange caked on gunk on one of the wheels. It almost appears to be a stain. You can't feel it. I've tried normal and heavy duty wheel cleaners and even clay. Any ideas what I could be looking at? Thanks!

    Equipment expenses?

Well, I plan to star mobile and would love for it to build to a shop years down the road. The convenience of being mobile is awesome but I think I will look forward to having a brick and mortar shop to go to. As for equipment, I currently have a lot of your basic essentials. Griot's 6in...
