So I placed my first order...

My kids just peeked over the computer screen, and I had to minimize my browser. That's some serious contraband you guys have posted. I'll have to make sure and clear my cache so my wife doesn't know which sites I'm visiting :D

    polishing question...

You bet! I use the Flex 3401, and I haven't destroyed anything yet :D. From what I understand, the PC is also a pretty good choice. I would stay away from a rotary unless you have experience (but that's just me).

    Meg's #21 V 2.0 problem

I had the same issue with NXT v2.0 on a car I did this past weekend. I was working in very small sections (1ft X 1ft), and had a very hard time removing the product. Once I moved the car into the garage and let it cool off (out of direct sunlight), the problem went away. I don't know if this...

Any word on when OptimumX would be released? Is this supposed to be like a Clear Coat for the Clear Coat?

    Possible to polish TOO MUCH?

filphil – I’m unable to speak to the abrasive qualities of XMT360, but I’m sure too much of anything isn’t a good thing. The good news is you can get a polish that will remove the defects from your paint, and not just cover them. You will be pleasantly surprised how easy your weekly cleaning...

    Removing Sticker Glue

I've had success with "Goof Off". Another thing you could try is Rubbing Alcohol.

Average time to polish a car (2wice) with 3401?

I did a Honda Civic yesterday with the 3401 and 106ff. It took about 4.5 hours for polishing (1x with white pad, and 1x with gray). I probably could have been done sooner if I was using SIP as there were quite a few areas I had to go over twice/three times to remove swirls.

My first thought was of "World of Warcraft". I haven't been detailing long enough for BLACK WOW to be my default yet :D

I prefer the Marlboro scent, although I hear it has an adverse impact on one's health :D

Tips for small engine detailing problems!!! (Pics)

:whs::goodpost: I don't know about others, and I'm certainly not a pro, but I use a light coat of Vaseline to help prevent corrosion. Now, the Vaseline attracts dirt, and I have to wipe them down more often than not, but it's worth it IMHO.

Am I on the right road?

:) It helped me too. Up until now, I've been using a grout sponge for tires because I didn't know if it would mar my paint. Now I know otherwise, I'm going to give it a shot too (of course, not the one I've been using on my tires)

    Polishing windows

I used to use a product called Glass Wax by Gold Seal. I haven't seen it for a number of years now, so it may not be offered anymore. That stuff was awesome, and only cost around $3 a can (that may be why it's not offered anymore).
