I would presume so, since this is the way most pads are distributed new. They are obviously dry so should not suffer from mold or mildew. Who knows how long they have been in bags in storage before you took delivery of them. I always leave my new pads sealed in their bags until first use...

Wash, but don't dry. Leave the surface wet - spray on your chosen lubricant one small area at a time and start claying (Pinnacle Poly Ultra is a good bet on black, DP is another good option). After you have clayed the whole vehicle go back and wash again before using the PB kit. Good Luck.

So long as you like those wheels black and shiny, you cant go wrong with Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel, love the stuff. Also would recommend the DP wheel wax to keep the rims nice and clean. My $0.02
