    Blackfire SiO2 vs Coating Booster

I have the BF SIO2 spray. I am surprised it hasn't gotten more love here. For boosting a coating I've used Cure, Reload, and Quartz Max. I have no need for those anymore. BF SIO2 is so simple. Spray about 3 places on 1/2 the hood, wipe it back / forth & up / down, and it just disappears into the...

    CanCoat Application Problems

Desertnate, I think your initial post could have been written by me after my first application. Welcome to my world! Having used sealants for so long, I am a bit heavy handed in applications. I checked with BudgetMan and Guz and they taught me it should be applied very thin. I now use The Guz's...

Using APC for stripping off wax instead of IPA wipedown...

Coating Prep products are fairly cheap and simple to use. I had a car with WG sealant on it, I used Gyeon Prep, and the coating I chose worked great. It will remove wax and sealants in a 15-20 minute application. If it works for a coating, it'll work for the next sealant you choose.

    SIO2 Coating Maintenance

I gave up on Cure as my wife's black car kept streaking at 50 / 50. I switched to the new BF SIO2 sealant and love it. You cannot streak it. When I run out of the 32 oz bottle, I'll but a gallon. If I didn't want a SIO2 product, I'd use M 37 Extender Spray wax or Meguires D 156.

BLACKFIRE SiO2 Spray Sealant - Water Beading Shots

Best thing about it is that is so easy to use. You cannot streak this product. It just disappears into the paint, chrome, or glass. It is not finicky like Reload or Cure. it's bubba proof.

Blackfire SiO2 Paint Sealant vs McKee's 10 minute paint sealant

The BF SIO2 is not really WOWA. It's wipe on, then lightly keep wiping until it disappears. But it flashes / disappears very quickly. It's fast and effortless. Hope that helps. If you are in AZ near Scottsdale, I'll gladly give you a few ounces to try. I use just less than an ounce on my sedan...

Blackfire SiO2 Paint Sealant vs McKee's 10 minute paint sealant

Unfortunately they are both so new, that few have probably tried both yet. I have the BF SIO2. It's the simplest SIO2 'topper' product I've used. You cannot streak it. Even on glass. It just disappears into the paint and glass. You could also call it a '10 minute product'. It only comes 32 oz...

Poor Wolfgang sealant endurance, need input

Wolfgang DGPS is my favorite sealant. So easy to use and I get 5-6 months out of it. It's now the ONLY sealant I use.

Disappointed with collinite 845. All hazy! Any advice?

I've had Collinite sweating issues in the past when the outside ambient air temps are above 95*. Of course I was working on a cool car inside a shady garage, but the air temps were around 105*. I stopped using it in the AZ summertime due to that. I've done 20+ cars with 845 / 476 / 915 but have...

CarPro Reload as Standalone Sealant - 2 Massive Fails...Any thoughts?

In fact, your best bet may be to go with Gyeon Prep and Gyeon CanCoat. Guys are getting a year from it and I can do 8-10 sedans from a single bottle. Just be sure to polish or use a good prep product first. CanCoat beading is "Oh my gosh". That would cost you 75 dollars and set you up for years.

CarPro Reload as Standalone Sealant - 2 Massive Fails...Any thoughts?

Just my opinion, but I have problems applying SIO2 products unless I first use a PREP product like Gyeon Prep, McKees 37 coating prep, etc. The iron remover doesn't do a good job on existing sealants. It'll remove wax, but do a poor job on sealants. For kicks I tried Gyeon CanCoat on a small...

iK Multi Pump Sprayer for Rinsing?

I've got a similar unit to the original IK Multi pump thing. Mine's 44 oz and works great. I use it for water-less washing. I love it. However it is not a powerful stream like a pressure washer. It just sprays a large area very fast. Easy to pump up and an adjustable spray pattern nozzle. It's...

wax (collinite 476S) over HDSpeed ??

I'll make a comment only because I'm know you're a neighbor about 25 miles north of you. I love Collinite products. I've used 845, 476, and 915. Love them. Except one thing....when the ambient temperature gets up around 105*, even on a car in the garage, it became a gooey mess for me. I used...

No they just clean the hard water deposits, at least on my 'normal toilets'. They work like magic really. But truthfully, I usually just go outside and whip it out anyway.

Need to restock some sealant---Is there any WOWO sealant with 1 year durability?

I agree with Budget. CanCoat is simple to use and you will get at least 6 months, and up to a year. I wish I had tried it long ago. Car stays cleaner too. If you want a traditional wipe on, haze, wipe off, my favorite is WG. Super easy on and off.
