Hydro2 sounds exactly like Mckee's Hydro Blue Si02 that myself and the above posters have used. I clean my wheels, spray/rinse off Hydro Blue Si02 and then dress the tires (after they are dry).

I have used McKees 37 SiO2 Wash in direct sun on a hot day and it certainly worked as advertised. It actually made the car seem glossier, but it could just be my mind (car wasn't coated). Only gripe was it didn't foam all that great in the foam cannon, but that could be on me.

Apply it first thing in the morning and let it bake in the sun all day. Edit: You could also apply the McKee's 37 10 minute paint sealant before the day is over.
