How does a waterless wash work??

    Meguiars ultimate detailer

How soiled can your car be and still use meguairs ultimate Quick DETAILER. A company spread mulch at work, and there is now some dust on the car. It's a decent layer. You can't see it from a distance but up close you can see it clearly. Is it safe to use this product to remove that? Or is...

    Tire protection

I did some research. I really like meguiars products, but I went with PERL because of the versatility and the price point. I'll post some pics later once the product comes in.

    Carpro PERL

Thanks. That's what I want to know.

    Carpro PERL

Is this recommended over Adams VRT for this application?

    Carpro PERL

Has anyone tried using this product under the hood? I read on their website it can be used on rubber and plastic. It illustrates someone using it under the hood. My real question is, does it attract dust or any other material, causing it to get gummy and nasty looking? Or does it repel...

    Tire protection

I appreciate the advice. I'll try to find some OTC first to test it out and see if I like the dressed look. Is it also true that some tire dressings actually have the opposite effect, and dry the tire out??

    Tire protection

Yea I saw that. It makes me nervous to have such a permanent look on the tire.

    Tire protection

Ok. Well after reading both posts, I appreciate the responses. I guess what I'm looking for is protection. Not necessarily "looks." Water based is the way to go then?

    Tire protection

I've tried searching this topic, and I'm sure it's out there, but I need some clarification. 1. Is tire protection necessary? And what exactly does it do other than make the tires/wheels look cool? 2. What is a good OTC product, and how often does it need to be applied to get the desired...

Anyone tried the Chicago Electric Platinum 6" DA from Harbor Freight

I bought this tool about a week or so ago. Finally was able to use it yesterday. I didn't do any mods except for a 5" BP from LC. I used LC 5.5" pads. It ran beautifully. Didn't run hot since I only worked 2x2' areas, so it wasn't running for extended periods of time. No noticeable...

    Meg's "Black Wax"

Yea you definitely said that. I missed it. Thanks for posting again. It is very oily (relatively speaking) compared to the paste waxes I use. I really am happy with the results.

    Meg's "Black Wax"

Is this safe to use on a consistent basis? I don't want to end up going through my clear coat with it.

    Meg's "Black Wax"

It was all black wax. I used LC Blue pad (waxing). Speed 1 to spread it around, then speed 3 to work it. 3-4 passes. Turned out amazing.

    Meg's "Black Wax"

Here are my results! Before an after obviously. The garage has a white ceiling. That's why it doesn't look black. But here's the actual car

    Meg's "Black Wax"

It's my daily driver so I don't have time to let it sit. Is it ok to wax it, let it sit over night, drive it, wash it, and wax it again?

    Meg's "Black Wax"

What happens if I can only wait, say, two hours? The top coat just not adhere properly?

    Meg's "Black Wax"

Great looking results. Nice ride! I'll try to post some results today.

    Meg's "Black Wax"

Sounds like everyone is "topping" the black wax with something else. I'm topping it with Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax. How long do I have to wait between applying the black wax then the UPW?

    Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax

I know this is a sealant. What are your thoughts of following this up with Mothers California Gold carnauba? I feel like this would offer great shine and depth, while offering great protection? (I'm trying to use products I already have)
