thanks for information guys I am going to give it a try on a set of chrome wheels that are really caked with tar and oxidation. I will try and upload some pictures when I have a minute.

Has anyone used the pinnacle safety scrub instead of steel wool or would that not be strong enough to clean oxidation off of metal?

where can you get #0000 steel wool? and do you need to finish with a metal polisher with a Mother's powerball afterward? :xyxthumbs:

I have heard to use steel wool on oxidized metal. I have searched AGO and have not found any steps to take on this... 1. How do you do this? 2. what kind of steel wool do you use? 3. What cleaning agent is recommended. 4. What polish is recommended? :hungry: for knowledge here ;)

ok. so I have two people telling me to go with Meg's APC +... I read this product's desription and it looks like it is used for almost every kind of cleaning...Is it really strong enough to clean off Rhino linings on rockers?

Up here in ND we have many trucks starting to put Rhino ,or similar lining, on their Rockers and/or in their truck bed. These start to turn white and hazey after a while. I have tried scrubbing them with various car shampoos and brushes but not much luck. What product can clean this and also...
