    Swirls and Scratches Don't Exist

As a neophyte, I thought I was beginning to understand the markings (or lack of ) on my black XLR-V. I even went so far as to buy close to 5 hundred dollars from AutoGeek so I could rid the car of these imperfections. Have I spent all that money and time (incidentally the time I have spent...

How to Remove Sealant from Pads.

I clean them as best I can and them I let them soak over night in DP citris cleaner. Then I clean and rinse them again and that seems to do the trick. They are not sparkling-new clean but the sealent is out, I think , for the most part.

I really like their gold detailer for inbetween details. It's by far the best I've ever used and I have used plenty.

    Having difficult time removing swirls?

I know exactly what I am doing wrong. The first thing is I was using half the product (swirl remover) and the biggest transgression is how much slower you went over the passes than me. IT'S TOO LATE TONIGHT BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS TOMORROW. WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I HAVE ALREADY...

    Having difficult time removing swirls?

I dont know if you got my last answer because I'm not sure what moving to a thread means. I am a neophyte computer user but I'm learning. I used an orange pad with the red orbital machine I just purchased in April. I applied the polish on 3 or 4 and polished with 5 and 6 making the suggested...

    Having difficult time removing swirls?

Mike, I have working on trying to get the swirls out of my black XLR and am having a devil of a time, I am using the swirl remover (Wolfgang) going over a 2 x 2 section 6 to 8 times and to very little avail. I have also done it up to three times on the same area but I get worried about the...

How to maintain finish after I get it perfect?

Mike, Well after I washed, clayed and got the swirls of the black XLR_V into the sun, things didn't look so well. I think I can fix that by using the right pad and the wolfgang swirl remover. The pad I used wasn't abrasive enough I found out later. My real question is when the car is show...

    Clay paticles

Thank you.. will do. As a general rule would it be safe to say anytme we start to get pieces of tar or other debris we should toss the the clay? It makes sense. Clays a lot cheaper than than a paint job.

    Clay paticles

I just finished claying my 2008 XLR-V Caddy. I kept getting black pieces on the clay. I'm not sure but I think it is tar because it has a tendency to smear when washed with the friction fluid. If it is tar, should I throw away the new bar and start over. I thought I did a good job of...
