Any suggestions or tips to help me along my way? Are newer Chevy clearcoats traditionally softer or harder?
Here's the lineup for tomorrow:
-Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II MTM foam cannon wash + 2 bucket wash method.
-Nanoskin 6" "clay" treatment (Can I use ONR clay bar lube instead of the...
What about if you're using the nanoskin 6" pad for a buffer? That's the one that I just purchased.

How do I know what speed to run my GG buffer on and what pressure to use?
I just bought one myself but haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I've heard that it works better than clay but will mar the paint more than traditional claying and you will have to polish after using the nano pad.
I've heard mixed thoughts about using a buffer vs applying it with hand. Since you've got a black car too, do you see the sealant glaze and haze a little bit and then move on?
Out of curiosity - how much Blackfire Wet Diamond does it take you guys to do an entire car/truck? I find myself using a dime size amount roughly every car panel or so. From what I have read, this seems excessive. What do you guys use to apply the BFWD and what are some signs to look for that...
I can use a leave blower as a substitute for the Sidekick for right now. Are you suggesting that it's necessary to put a layer of wax over top of my Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant in order to help the water sheet off better to make dying easier? I thought that was the purpose of the BFWD sealant...
The only issue with doing on an IPA wipe down after polishing is that it can reintroduce swirls/micro-marring/scratching if done incorrectly.
Any tips so that you don't mar say a darker color car when doing a final IPA wipe on a black car?
I used Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant with the exact combo you're working with and it worked great!
As far as how much product to use, I have no idea. I seem to have to add a dime size amount for every panel of the car.
I also think that this is a good opportunity to ask - since I've got a black car, what is the safest way to do a wipe down after polishing to remove all of the oils for the last step product? Wiping down immediately after polishing reintroduces new swirls/micro scratches/marring into the paint.
Just as the title states, I'm on the look out for some shampoo that I can use both for my foam cannon and my two-bucket wash method that doesn't strip the wax/Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant off of my car. Any suggestions? I'm currently using Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II but after talking to their...
Anyone have any tips/suggestions on the proper way to dry a black car with leaving micro scratches are marring the paint? I have a Meguiars Waffle Weave towel that I use but it just doesn't feel soft enough to dry the paint.
My MTM foam cannon came today. Traditionally, I use the two-bucket wash method with a sheepskin wash mitt. Is there a write up anywhere on how to work the foam cannon method into my wash? I've got the Extreme Maxi Suds II Chemical Guys shampoo.
Thanks
