    I used a product not sold here, but I recommend a polish or aio product that has a long work time (stays wet), you don't want to heat up the plastic too much, you can burn, or flex and stretch the plastic too much from heat.     Looks easy enough to remove, don't know if you have a steam cleaner but you could try that as well, but other than that I think I would just remove sand and paint.
