    D156 use question

I use D156 when drying from a rinseless wash or regular wash. Mist the wet panel and I follow up with an eagle edgeless microfiber which leaves the surface silky smooth with tons of gloss. D156 will boost the protection on your vehicle as you are "topping" whatever protection is there in the...

How many of you use a MACHINE to WAX your vehicle?

Last weekend I did blackfire wet diamond sealant with my PC and red finishing pad and then hand applied the midnight sun ivory carnauba over top :)

    PC 7424 First Timer

Definitely check out some more videos on youtube. When polishing you need to add pressure for the product and pad to actually correct the paint. If waxing with a DA that is when you don't want to apply much pressure. Usually 4-6 passes in a cross-hatch pattern are whats needed over a 24" x 24"...

    PC 7424 First Timer

How many passes did you make on the section? Using poor boys light polish with an orange pad will probably induce some slight DA haze since the orange pad is more of a moderate cut. Since it is a newer car, try the polish with a white pad, maybe try a bit more than a couple drops of product...

    Squeegee drying ?!?!

Squeegees are awesome for clearing the water off your windows after washing. Then you're not having to soak all that moisture off the glass and you can use your nice soft waffle weave towels on your paint. I would not recommend using them on paint, you're just asking for lines of scratches.

    Dealing with "hack" detailers

It's all about keeping your composure while you watch people destroy vehicles! Arguing with them will get you nowhere. Their "technique" is tried and true by their father, his father and his father before him! Let them think what they want, and when they actually want to start being a...

    cloth seats and car seats

I would tell them to spray down the entire interior of the car with a lice killing spray that can be found at local pharmacies at least a day before they drop it off to you. Most of these take 24 hours to work entirely. Then you can go about the detail as usual.

    Anyone want to try Menzerna?

I'd definitely be interested in the Intensive polish. Maybe seperate it out into a few 8 oz containers to give out to more people? Or just send the 32oz and get it over with haha.

    Chemical Guys Products?

I like to research and see what people like from CG, then test those products myself. As far as compounds and polishes, I tend to avoid CG as their lineup is so dang confusing and overlapping. This tends to happen in all their products though. I have been extremely impressed with the shine I...

    Croftgate tire shine

I always spray it on a junky microfiber first, then apply it to the tire. That way it gives a nice deep matte black finish, without the horrible glazed donut appearance.

    Removing Parking Sticker From Paint/Bumper

Heat it up with a heatgun/hairdryer or a steamer and slowly peel it off. If any residue is left behind get some adhesive remover/bug and tar remover/etc. and gently rub it off with a microfiber.

Poor results with ONR on front bumper with bugs

A bug/tar remover or clean them off sooner. I typically will go over my front bumper in the spring/summer months every day when I get home from work to remove the bugs before everything gets hardened and crusty. Only takes 5-10 minutes and they always wipe right off.

Quite the mystery - How soft can clearcoat/fresh paint be?

*Sigh* I'm running into this with my Wife's inferno red crystal pearl paint on her 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I corrected the hood, I could tell it had been repainted at some point as the paint acted much differently than the pillars I had done test spots on earlier. After removing the...

    cleaning/waxing truck roofs

I'm a little bit better off than you at 5' 11", but still it can be difficult to reach spots on the roof on the ever widening trucks of today. I also usually stand on the inside of the doors, but sometimes if I'm not going to be cleaning the interior this isn't as viable of an option so I had...

    2005 Grand Cherokee

This is my Wife's Jeep, it's a 2005 Grand Cherokee with Inferno red crystal pearl paint and it has never had a professional detail, let alone any kind of paint correction. Last year I decontaminated and clayed it for the first time and it made a world of difference. She takes very good care of...

    Windows--Glass

I use a 2 microfiber technique. I start by misting the first normal 360gsm microfiber with stoners invisible glass. I wipe half of the windshield and make sure I scrub the whole thing down. Then I quickly change over to my glass specific Korean microfiber and buff the entire window regardless...
