what to do if in a car accident and the driver at fault doesn't have auto insurance?

Sorry to hear the bad news boss. Won't reiterate what some of the other folks have said. 2 Months ago, a young guy on a motorcycle was doing a wheelie down my girlfriend's street and totaled his bike against the entire driver's side of my car. He had no insurance. Cops came, took a report, made...

am I going the right direction in pads?

Hello Sir. If you are in RI, I am located in Warwick and will be moving to Pawtucket soon so if you're able, we can get together via phone or in person and go over some things and compare notes/experience. Kudos to AG forums for having a space that allows folks from little Rhody to stumble into...

Screwed up big time. burned paint?

Sorry to see this man. Looking at the pictures is painful and I feel bad for you. Hopefully not a customer vehicle. I was on the fence about whether to purchase a paint gauge but now, I am all in.

Just tried GG Perfecting Cream... holy smokes

You will not find a soul that will tell you any of the BOSS creams dust much. Very low to no dusting even with the long working time. The way the abrasives breaks down, they remain very lubricated. It does not dry up which also makes the wipe off super SUPER easy.

DA Haze - SF3800 - Black Metallic - Please Help

My thoughts exactly. kinda scary that you're polishing long enough to cause any type of pad failure. If you're truly polishing to the point of smoking your pads when you remove it from the panel, I'm no authority but then i'd consider the possibility that you've caused some actual damage to your...

    Meguiar's microfiber cutting pads

For me, I brush my pads very often. I don't wait to complete a panel to brush clean. With MF pads, my experience is that very frequent brushing makes the correction more effective because you're using much cleaner MF. I still go to my GG6 because with the innerflex pads, BOSS pads and the center...

Fitting to use to replace Ryobi Pressure Washer wand with Foam Cannon?

So here's my update. After not hearing a reply from any of the folks I contacted, i'm converting down to a new 20" wand. I also purchased a 1'4" FPT plug that will go on the end of the wand that will snap into the gun via the quick disconnect on the end of the gun. With that I purchased a...

Fitting to use to replace Ryobi Pressure Washer wand with Foam Cannon?

I am in the process of trying to find this exact answer. I just purchased mine and neither Home Depot or lowes has the correct fittings as they are too big to snap into my gun. They are 3/8" so my belief is that we need the 1/4" fittings. I have a message out to MTM to help me with this and if I...

GG6 backling plate and pad size??

As a fellow novice, do not go the cheap route on pads. Lake country makes great pads, but so does Griot's. BOSS microfiber pads and orange correcting pads. Used Lake Country, Buff and Shine, Meguiar's, Chemical Guys, you name it. After trying them, I love the griot's pads because they were...

    Whats your "Go To" Polish?

Im referring to FCC. I used 205 in the summer with moderate heat outside, nothing that I thought would contribute to dust. It wasn't much but in comparison to FCC there was more. I've used it on a handful of cars and I just find FCC to dus less than what I've used previously. I have not yet...

    Whats your "Go To" Polish?

Recently I've been trying Griot's fast correcting cream with a mf pad followed by HD speed on an orange or white pad and I've gotten great results. HD speed has worked well for me but this thread has me wanting to go back and play with M205 now. Sent from my SM-G935P using Autogeekonline mobile app

    Whats your "Go To" Polish?

Couldn't disagree more. I took some advice I got here and got GG Fast Correcting Cream and it works much longer than 205 and is a hell of a lot easier to wipe off and essentially no dusting. 205 dusts more than CC. Sent from my SM-G935P using Autogeekonline mobile app

Looking into a vapor Steamer. Need advice

I'm a little late to the party here. I too am looking to get into a steam cleaner and the Dupray hill or the VX5000 seem like strong units to fit a detailer's needs IF you have the funds to do so. For those of us who are newer to the game, these $200 units might just have to do. I did my...
