    my first OC2 project

I did some more searches and looks like people use 5-15 cc of the product per car. I will go ahead and do a second layer some time later. When would be the best time to do it? Do I wait for full cure? Thanks!

Thanks for your youtube video. That convinced me to do nanoskin vs clay.

    my first OC2 project

I just did detailing of a 2003 corolla. Not perfect and I didn't remove all scratches but I was afraid to remove too much paint (single stage). I finished OC2 application and it went well. I thought I used a lot of product as it took at least 10 drops to make the applicator wet enough to...

nanoskin sponge: first time user. pictures and question

Update: I went ahead and used blue too. But there was little resistance, so probably the red one did the job done. The red one is more sticky, the car was neglected, and maybe I put too much force. I'm actually done with compounding and polishing already. Taking a brake before OC2. Wish me...

nanoskin sponge: first time user. pictures and question

I bout the combo package here: red medium and blue fine. It's supposed to be better than clay: Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge Fine Grade Review - YouTube The project car is neglected and while washed regularly, never clayed in 10 years. Thus I started with red medium sponge. The good...

    2004 Corolla

Great job. This car looks just like my daughter's car that I'm planning to do this summer. Hers is 2003 and a bit cleaner, but with more paint blemishes from rocks/dents, etc. What did you do to the painted trims/plastics?

opti coat 2.0 vs old/alternative/OTC automotive finishes

Thanks! How about non-urethane finish? The reason I'm asking, I'm not sure if OC2 should be used on plastic trims. Based on the fact that IPA dissolved paint from painted handles in the car that I'm slowly preparing for OC2, it doesn't look like urethane finish was used at the factory on...

opti coat 2.0 vs old/alternative/OTC automotive finishes

Any compatibility issues? I'm talking about single stage (urethane?), acrylic enamel, and acrylic lacquer. I searched but didn't find anything.

Headlight sealant: spar urethane vs. opti coat 2.0

Both Rustoleum and Krylon clear enamels have UV protectants, yet do poorly on headlights. OC2 also claims UV protection.

Headlight sealant: spar urethane vs. opti coat 2.0

No, I didn't say that. I meant things like acrylic enamel clear coats.
