Polishing Black C6 Vette - Questioning decisions

Should I use the Blue Hydrofoam pad with FG400 to start to address this haze/scratches from the V32 and Orange hex Pad? Or another combination? Tangerine/FG400, SI1500, etc?

Polishing Black C6 Vette - Questioning decisions

Thanks for your confirmation. Another suggestion for many pads prompts me to ask... How frequently should I be retiring the pad form a polishing session? Is it something like when you start getting build up or excessive dusting, you set it aside and start with a clean one? Maybe 2 or 3 pads...

Polishing Black C6 Vette - Questioning decisions

I normally clean the pads... but admittedly only having a couple hours or so a night to work on it after a 11-12hr work days, I tried to get away without cleaning them. Figured the wet pad would prevent me from progressing the following day. I suspect that may be part of the dusting problem now...

Then 3 more dots, dabbed around, then moved polish around area on low setting (~#2), Then turned up to speed #5 - 5-1/2 and began working area. For...

Polishing Black C6 Vette - Questioning decisions

Thank you to everyone for the quick replies! Hi David, why weren't you happy with the results? Did the V34 not remove the defects you were hoping it would? The FG400 looks like it's on the aggressive side. Would it be similar grit to the V32 or V34? I'm just try to decide if I'm at the point...

Polishing Black C6 Vette - Questioning decisions

I just started researching correct ways to detail vehicles a couple months ago. I figured I'd been doing it wrong for years... and yeah, I was. Dropping wash mit and rinsing it off to get back to work, drying w/ chamois (also dropped from time to time), dry cloths on dry paint, leaving bird...
