Foam gun, how much product v liquid?

There's 2 ratios at play here. The foam gun output ratio and the suggested shampoo dilution ratio. That's the math and it's black and white. Some people like to work out the numbers in their heads. But then there's the intangible human factor. What works for one may not work for the other...

Foam gun, how much product v liquid?

Incorrect. The "dial" controls the tank to hose ratio. That means if you've set it to 4 oz per gallon, that's the ratio hitting your paint at any given time. If your shampoo calls for 1 oz per gallon of dilution, you will need to put 1 part shampoo to 3 parts water in your tank.

How to determine if u need wash or quick detail?

Polishing takes so much time and effort (for me) that I'd rather wait and leave the vehicle a little dirty a couple more days until I'm able to do a proper wash, than risk marring the paint with a QD. The slight problem I see with a swipe test is that it's done on only a very small part of the...

    WDGPS3.0 on Detailer

No experience with the Meg products you mentioned, but in the 6 years I've been using WDGPS, I've topped it with another coat of WDGPS, Souveran paste, Fuzion or OCW. Can't complain!

    Tuff Shine: a Review

Great review! I've been away and last time I was here on AG, this product was not available yet. Nice to hear I can purchase it here now. I've always thought even back then that it's best to jack up the car so that the entire tire clears the ground when applying Tuf Shine. Even better if...

    So How Do YOU ONR?

I don't have the Lake Country sponge, I have the LOWE's Proline grout sponge. And I didn't have to make the cuts, they're not necessary for this sponge. Like I said, the sponge has big pores and very soft.

    So How Do YOU ONR?

I've been using ONR for close to 4 years with hardly any marring. Haven't used a hose except to pre-rinse away stuck-on grit, leaves (during fall), etc. Always been 2-bucket method for me. 4 gallons of water with 2+ oz of ONR - I use extra for the wheels and tires. I started using MF towel as...

When is it to cold to Polish?

Based on past experience, I won't be able to work efficiently if it's that cold. I'd take the car inside the garage. As well, at 40 outside, you don't need a heated garage at all, unless it's drafty or you're the cold type. For instance, it was 25 outside a couple of days ago and I polished...

    ONR and undercarriage/wheel wells

After washing the bodywork, I've been washing with the left-over ONR on wheels, tires and wheelwells, using standard MF towels for the wheels, and brushes for the wheelwells. Works well. For the tires, I try to alternate towels and stiff brushes each wash.

yellow clay for the great white north..

I have some of the yellow clay coming to me, and can't wait to see how it compares. From what I've read in my internet travels, I don't remember anyone mention that it cleans any better than regular clay. Only that it's easier to work with. I haven't used it yet but in my mind, it's probably...

    Cobra WWMF Glass Towels Fraying!!!

Thanks Dwayne, will do. Hi charliehaley, thanks for mentioning it. The small white tags are still intact on these towels. I did not snip them off because I intended these towels to be used solely for windows and windshield, away from any paint surface.

    Cobra WWMF Glass Towels Fraying!!!

I am frustrated with these towels...with the edge stitches in particular. Two months ago, I ordered a couple of them: The Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towel cleans & buffs glass to crystal clarity with the soft texture of genuine Cobra microfiber. They arrived on time and packaged...
