I am about to give up!

scooterguitar, A couple of observations... You don't mention whose pads you are using, so I can't be certain but in the pad line I'm using, the green pad is a light cutting pad. You might need to step in pad aggressiveness. I would suggest that before going with a stronger compound than PB's...

    P.B. Natural Look.....

BILL, unless the interior is dirty (as opposed to dusty) no need to do anything before NL. It is some light cleaners in the product. It has easily cleaned mild-moderate "dirt" in interiors for me. As for APCs, I am currently using 2 for really bad interiors, PB's and Charlie's Soap. I get...

    PB EX vs. EX-P

You can top either EX or EX-P with Natty's. Or you can top neither. A couple of applications, allowing curing time before topping would be beneficial. IME, EX (x2) and EX-P (x3) seem to provide the most visual benefit. After allowing the final application to set-up you can then determine if you...

    Synthetic Chammois for drying?!

A combination of all of the drying methods works well, though I'm not enthused with the leaf blower method. I understand the concept, but I prefer catching those annoying little drips later than risking the potential for blowing airborne grit across in against my paint. I like to combine...

    Edge 2K quick change/dbl sided pad ?'s

My question about the pads is the real world functionality of the double-sided pad. Doesn't the product migrate through the pad, thus rendering the "second" side ineffective for using another product? Also, what is it like using a pad with product facing upward?

    Werkstatt

I'm not familiar with the Prime Strong product. Has it replaced Prime or is an addition to the line? I've read where Prime is compared to KAIO. I'm most interested in the cleaning component, but overall comparisons are welcome.

    Best Glass Cleaner??

I've got Stoner's IG and Sprayway, both are decent products, though a bit messy, and are widely available on local retailer's shelves. I've also used the older version (has it been reformulated as rumored?) of EO's 20/20, it was quite effective. I've read good things about Meg's NXT glass...

    cleansing lotions

It would be. I've never used the Pinnacle PCL product, but AIO (at least the older version) is a pretty darned good cleaner I don't see something coming the need for further paint cleaning after its use. killrwheels@autogeek, I don't recall when the Meg's Deep Crystal system was introduced...

    cleansing lotions

It is kind of a small niche product; one which I use very infrequently. I definitely don't see it as a subsitute for clay, but as BritOn2wheels mentioned to be used after claying. If I'm going to do any polishing, I will most likely skip the PCL step altogether as it is IMO redundant. IMO...

Meghan finally got Neothin to detail her SUV!

My hat's off to you Neothin to complete all of those steps on that beast in 4 hours :applause: The only nice thing about those big SUVs and trucks is you don't have to bend down too far to work the undercarriage and lower panels :D

I have read that using only Pristine Clean will sufficiently clean and condition top coated leather. Has anyone tried this?

Review: Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze

Since your finish was in very good shape already, I'm going to assume that you can't really speak to the level of cleaning ability this product provides. I am interested in what other product(s) this might be compared to / contrasted with in terms of: paint cleaning paint polishing - ie...

    Micro Fiber towels

I believe that the difference is that the polymide (nylon IIRC) component accounts for the absorption performance. As far as quality towels, the ratio does not seem to be a factor as I have quality towels in the following weaves: 70/30, 75/25, 80/20, 85/15 and even a couple of excellent glass...

    Cobra Super Plush Microfiber Towels

Forgive the repost in the same thread but, I'm still uncertain about the towels being discussed in this thread. Are they a replacement for the Super Plush towels (16x25, blue in color, bound edges) that were previously being carried by AG?

    quick detailer

I use the same process, except I save the leaf blower step and proceed straight to drying. For QDing on a road driven vehicle, I prefer to start with PB's S&W; spraying the product directly on the surface, and as mentioned above allow the product to remain on the surface before wiping. After...

    Poorboys S & G

Agreed heat and humidity can both contribute to the problem (we get plenty of both...and the humidity factor seems to be on the rise in recent years). The heat especially when the surface is so hot that the product begins to dry before it gets wiped. That problem seems to alleviate itself as...

    Poorboys S & G

LOL, QDs are my product weak spot as well. They are an easy itch to scratch as I rationalize my purchases with the understanding that along with car wash they are a consumable that I go through rather quickly. Add to that I've not yet met the QD that I didn't like (that is none have proven to...

    Cobra Super Plush Microfiber Towels

I'm cornfused (sic), are the Super Plush towels being replaced by this Deluxe towel? What can you tell us about the new towel?
