    3-Day Competition Ready Detail Class - September 23rd, 24th, 25th

Mike, I definitely want to take this class, unfortunately I can't make the one in September, I wish I could. Do you know the dates of the next one yet?

    2008 Pontiac G8

Beautiful job! Love G8s, they're definitely a hidden gem of a car. I had a G8 GT back in 2008 and LOVED it! I loved it so much, I recently bought the newest version of it, now sold as a "Chevrolet SS."

    Working With M105

I guess it depends on how hard the paint is as to whether that combo will work or not. That's the beauty of soft paint, easier to work with. I'm relatively new to detailing and brand spanking new to doing it on other peoples cars for money so I haven't run into anything that crazy yet. I never...

    Working With M105

Wow, nice write up and pictures. Very interesting stuff. Thinking outside the box definitely yields some interesting conclusions and results. Very interesting stuff about the pads. That paint definitely looks to be on the softer side with there being paint transfer on the pads. Seems like...

    Working With M105

On my car, it should definitely do the trick. My car has some light micro marring, and light surface scratches. I wouldn't even call them swirls, they're more like "love marks" and some random isolated not so deep scratches. I heard SF4000/SF3500 is fantastic, I'd like to try that to. So many...

    Working With M105

I'm gonna put the M105 away until it gets colder, then I'll try it again. It's just too much of a pain to work with, I hope it gets better when it gets colder for me because it really does cut very fast. Just not as fast as it dries out. I just did half of my sisters hood to play around. It got...

    Working With M105

I think that was my main problem with the M105. It was very hot and humid. On my second section pass, it would dry up and be like cement on the paint, it was unbelievably hard to remove. And once I did remove it, there were still swirls left, 2 section passes weren't enough. I'll try it again...

    Working With M105

I think I remember reading that the Menzerna FG400 and Wolfgang Uber Compound is basically the same stuff, just with very slight differences that make the Wolfgang version a little easier to work with. They both seem like great products. The Wolfgang stuff is a bit pricey, though. dlc95, what...

    Working With M105

Played with M105 a little more. It's definitely more user friendly when not as hot. When I used it at the time I made this thread, it was very hot and humid out. I'd prime the pad using the product, as per the KBM, put 3 drops of product on the pad, and the first section would be okay. After I...

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

    2 Car Drying Questions

Wow, really? I thought that waterless/rinseless wash stuff was oil for very lightly soiled paint or a light layer of dust. If a car is actually dirty with road grime, etc from driving the car, you can still use a rinseless/waterless wash procedure without scratching and marring up the paint...

    2 Car Drying Questions

Thanks for the link! I read the whole thing, that helped me make a decision. Part of the reason I want to blow dry the car is to save some time, in addition to not marring up the paint. If the Master blaster is that annoying and cumbersome to use, then that negates the benefit of it's extra...

    2 Car Drying Questions

Thanks for the info. I have a 20 amp so I'm okay with that. I was curious if the master blasters power and drying ability was that much better than the other units to justify the extra cost.

    2 Car Drying Questions

Hello all. I have 2 quick car drying questions. My first question is, can you use a car drying aid with a ceramic coating such as Cquartz and if so, what drying aid is recommended? Second is, what blower do you guys recommend for drying the car? The Mckees piece looks nice and at $180 bucks, is...

    Regular Cquartz vs. Cquartz UK/TiO2

Thanks for the info. So which one to use really depends on when you're applying it? I like on Long Island, NY. It can get as hot as 100+ and very humid like it is right now (the "feel like" temperature yesterday was 113 degrees) and can get as low as single digits in the winter. I guess that...

    Regular Cquartz vs. Cquartz UK/TiO2

When I was on Carpro's website, I noticed they only sell Cquartz UK and Cquartz TiO2, which left me scratching my head because I could of sworn there was regular Cquartz that wasn't UK or TiO2. Then I noticed here on Autogeek, that they are selling a regular Cquartz in the 30ml bottle. Has that...
