My eyes are itching and my nose is twitching from here. Dreaded pollen season is upon us, god have mercy on our cars and sinuses!

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ok, well that’s extra cost(the other detailer you’re mixing it with), plus time is money so between the both of us now I feel like maybe I’m ahead… Or if we’re just going for a quick detailer with UV, I prefer MEGUIAR'S D149 and it’s even cheaper than the Adam’s stuff (and I’m from...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ha… I had a coupon, so it was definitely a few bucks less than your gallon of P&S. Plus I got the benefit of UV protection so it cleans AND protects ( and is supposedly anti-static too, you can’t put a price on that)vs. that P&S stuff that is a cleaner only and leaves no protection. Yeah, the...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I thought it was pretty nice, cleaned the dash and other plastic bits(hand oils, sticky spills, etc) well, while also cleaning the gauge cluster and navigation/entertainment screen without leaving any smears. Overall I think InnerQD is a useful product for sprucing up the cabin. :props:

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

    Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

I bumped into it a few years back on the interwebs and asked my local Optimum dealer if they carried it as I hadn’t seen it here. Good dilution ratio, feels slick and cleans well, the grape smell ( I think that’s what it is) is… interesting.:hungry:

    Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

For my coated car: Reset: for cleaning ability and cost per use it’s all most impossible to beat -Honorable mention: Optimum Mwash (and I’d swear McKee’s SiO2 wash is the same stuff in a different bottle) -I’ve also been messing around with CarPro Descale and it seems like a nice quarterly wash...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

That Giulia is a cool car… I thought long and hard about one instead of the RS3. But in the end I wasn’t brave enough after reading the ol’ interwebs about the Italian reliability. I hope you’re rewarded for your bravery, as it certainly is a cool ride.

Nedd a good polish / Compound reccomendation

I’ve been polishing BMW, VW and Audi paint a lot lately. I’ve had very good results with Rupes wool pads and Carpro Ultracut gives good cut and finishes well.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

The Giulia is certainly a very nice powertrain but the Italian reliability is what scarred me away. I hope you have better luck than most. Either way it sure will be fun for a while.

    Ammo NYC products?

I enjoy Larry and his content. I’ve been watching him probably longer than I’ve been on AG. I think he’s a good resource for strategies on how to take care of a vehicle inside and out, as well as advanced polishing and a few tricks and techniques. Frothe is one of Larry’s products that I see...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The interior needed a refresh so I spent a warmish winter day cleaning out the interior on my Audi. Winter rubber mats hosed off and scrubbed with OPC. Carpets vacuumed, leather cleaned with CarPro Inside diluted 1:1 on Detail Factory synthetic brushes and Autofiber ninjas. Nothing was...

    Carpro vs sonax

I mostly detail German cars with HARD paint and have had great success with CarPro UltraCut. It seems to have the ability to cut hard paint while finishing down very well. I’ve been very happy with many of the CarPro polishes.

    VW Paint-suggestions?

I also own a VAG (Audi) vehicle and would recommend the yellow Rupes wool pad paired with Carpro Essence. It’s a nice combo, foam won’t much on that clear. Share some pics.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I’m from Hawaii and yep that red in the dirt comes from ‘iron oxide’(rust), the volcanic rock/soil can be very high in iron which then oxidizes and creates that red soil that can stain almost anything. But living on a rock in the middle of the salty ocean the red dirt is the least of your...

LostInTransit, Have you tried upping the pressures in the tires? Adding a few PSI (try 2psi at a time)will reduce sidewall flex without any dramatic impact on tread life.

Re: Suggestions for Cleaning and Maintaining New 17'' Voxx Wheel Transit, Those tires are fine for your van. The difference between a load rating of 95-98 is like 125 lbs and unless you’re doing A LOT of heavy hauling you’ll never notice ANY difference. I’d just tell Discount that you’ve...

Removing CQuartz UK & SiC high spots

I’ve had good luck with Essence and a light touch by hand buffing out high spots when necessary.
