My suggestion would be to clean well, and (re)paint with a high quality(high-temp) caliper paint. Prep is important, clean well(chemical and mechanical brush), dry well, tape off all the seals and remove the pads, paint High Temp ceramic caliper specific paint. I went for the G15 and have no regrets!

Thought I had posted pictures, but I guess not... Correction was performed with the aforementioned pads and Menzerna 2500 and 3500.

I use the Rupes 150mm (5.9”) pads with a 5” backing plate and it seems to fit fine with a slight overhang.

Yeah, it takes a little effort. You need to keep the magnets clean and then use the QD to clean the surface first and not drag the magnet once you “apply” it. But if you take these simple precautions, it’s easy and worth while.
