    Maguiar’s Hyperwash in Foam Cannon

Thanks for the feedback. I have a Generac 7122 (3200 psi, 2.7 gpm) and the MATCC foam cannon. I’m happy with the setup using Maguiar’s Gold Class - just heard a lot of good about the Hyperwash. Not sure of the difference but I thought I’d give it a try. Sounds like 2oz of Hyperwash per tank...

    Maguiar’s Hyperwash in Foam Cannon

yea, a few posts say 1oz, but I saw another with 4oz. Just thought I’d check to see if anybody in AG has an answer. Have you used Gold Class as well? Do you prefer Hyperwash? I’m not really sure of the difference but have read a lot of people recommend Hyperwash.

    Maguiar’s Hyperwash in Foam Cannon

I have been using Maguair’s Gold Glass in my foam cannon, but recently ordered some Hyperwash from AG but cannot find how much I should add to the foam cannon. I have read anywhere from 1oz to 4oz. What is recommended to ensure lubricity, but not waste or have to rinse excessively to ensure...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

Detailed my new car this past weekend - washed/dried -> decomtaminated -> rinsed/dried -> clayed -> polished -> sealant. I wanted to do my door jams with my 50/50 mix of Uber and BSD. I didn't like it as a QD. Was WAY to grabby and I could see a lot of the microfiber cloth getting pulled...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

upper 30's....if it got that warm I'd be hitting the beach  Average high in January for me is 25F, average low is 2F. We'll see how it goes. I do lose my garage to my toys (motorcycle, ATV, etc) during the winter. l have a plan for the coin-op bay for a wash/rinse and WGU/BSD as a...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

I doing a full detail on a new car - then I'll be using the mix as a QD for a while, then next wash I'm gonna try the same mix as a drying aid. I'll post observations, though being new I won't have a lot to of experience to evaluate it against.

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Thanks Mike. With the new trim I don't need a dye it the product - HOWEVER - my son just purchased a 2005 Subaru with neglected trim. I will have to put some of that in my next order for him. He put on Mother's Back to Black which did a decent job - but there are sections of the roof rack...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

I ordered the 16 oz with the measuring device built in to test the product. For now, just as a drying aid and quick detailer. I live in Maine so for the winter I plan on going to a coin-op bay and washing and rinsing then misting on Uber/BSD as a drying aid (drying with Griot's PFM towels)...

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

I had already gone down the path of a sealant for both the paint and the trim (Menzerna PL for the paint, WETS for trim) and ordered all the product. In the spring when it comes time to detail again I may try a coating for the trim, maybe paint, maybe both.

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

Well I ordered both, so maybe I'll compare them each on their own - then at a 50/50 mix to see what differences I see.

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

That's one of the reasons for this post. Want to see if it's a good idea or not to put on the rubber seals.

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Car is new. just hit 2000 miles. Paint and trim are in excellent condition. Overall, I plan on doing a full detail before winter. I plan on a pre-treat (any bugs, etc.)/wash/rinse/dry -> decontaminate -> rinse/dry -> clay bar -> inspect -> mask -> polish with Menzerna SF3500 on a white...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

Klasse - I should clarify, this is not a mix for a rinseless. I'm just mixing as a drying aid/quick detailer for now. I might try mixing for a rinseless in the future.

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Ordered some Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS) and plan on putting it on my new car which has quite a bit of exterior plastic. I also ordered the Tire & Trim Dressing Applicator from AG and picked up some of the foam makeup applicators locally to use for applying the WETS. Is it...

Drying aid mixture - Wolfgang Uber - SONAX BSD

My order from AG should arrive today. I am planning of trying a mixture of Wolfgang Über Rinsless Wash and SONAX Brilliant Shine Detailer as a drying aid and quick detailer. Any suggestions on the ratio’s? Was planning on mixing 3 oz of Wolfgang Über Rinsless Wash in a gallon of distilled...

Polishing a new car and masking

So looking around for some guidance I came across this from Mike. "No special rules as each car is different, the general rule I use is I tape off anything I don't want to get splatter on, splatter in, or detail with a toothbrush when the job is done. "Polishing paint is polishing paint...

Polishing a new car and masking

Couple of questions: 1. I have seen pictures of Mike thoroughly masking a vehicle prior to compounding. If I a polishing a new vehicle and am only using a fine polish (Menzerna SF3500). Do I need to be worried about masking everything? My thought was I would stay away from any edges until...

Spray On Sealants for keeping auto protected in Maine winters

Thanks again Tony. I have been looking at either the Wolfgang Uber/Sonax BSD or the Carpro Ech2o/Reload mixed as a waterless or QD for general touch ups between major details. Then in the winter using this as a drying aid after the coin-op wash/rinse. I also have seen posts for the BSD/V07...

Spray On Sealants for keeping auto protected in Maine winters

That would be acceptable. During the winter it's primarily to keep the surface cleaned or road salt and chemicals (calcium chloride, etc.), and attempt to keep a layer of protection through the winter. So the DPC Sealant was applied before winter, then you maintained with BSD/V07 as a drying...
