    car canopy

Not a great pic, but I use two 12'x12' canopies most of the time. Just tall enough to get a stock full sized 4x4 underneath. The canopies go up in all of 5 minutes and the cost is $168 per. Roller carrying bag included. I purchased the sand bag weights separately.

    Pick a tire dressing...

Been using VRP since the product was first offered by Chemical Guys. If applied properly there is NO sling. I've had clients call a few days after their detail service asking what I used on the tires because they have no sling on the sides of the vehicle. They ask what the tire dressing brand...

    Rotary Buffer

I have. I prefer the DeWalt to it. I guess those of us who began in the industry who started out using the rotary buffers have a better feel for them. The Makita is also a great polisher. Mike, I know this comment may not hold true to all who attend your classes, however it would seem to me...

    Rotary Buffer

I guess it'll be whatever you're most comfortable with and how many opinions you'll have to sift through. I personally never cared for the Flex.

    Maserati paint soft hard ??

In my experience the dark colors for Maserati normally seem to be the harder colors to polish if going after deep imperfections. Lighter colors seem to be much less problematic ...... My .02

    Rotary Buffer

I'd go with the DeWalt rotary. I have a Rupes BF21, but the rotary can do everything IT can. The DeWalt rotary polisher (DWTDWP849X) is my go-to. The Rupes is a Cadillac for the DA world, but the rotary offeres everything and then some. I was able to find the DeWalt for 179.** w/ bale and...

    meguairs quick wax question

My experience with these products says "yes". I've never had any problem with using a spray wax on top of anything like Zaino or anything resembling a "coating". You're only adding a maintenance layer with the spray wax. This won't interfere with the Zaino.

Not thrilled with body work done

Having owned a restoration shop; I will tell you this isn't the body shop's fault. Once you furnish the parts their responsibility is only with the installation and painting of the part. When you suppled the parts, you assumed responsibility for the quality of the part. The other two parts...

    Couple of dressing questions

Here's one more with 2 coats of the VRP dressing. The Tacoma added to give an example of the VRP dressing on a larger, tall profile tire. A little bit darker and a little deeper shine. I've never had a client who liked shiny tires .......... and I hope I never do! LOL

    Couple of dressing questions

EDIT: Also, if the finish of the tire ever starts to look dull or like it needs a refresh; all you need to do is wipe the tires down with a dry MF. Afterward you'll see the tires look like you just cleaned and dressed them all over again revealing the same finish.

    Couple of dressing questions

Chemical Guys VRP dressing. Leaves a deep satin finish on the tires and a dark satin finish on interior vinyl. Any color interior looks great. No sling and will last a couple of weeks easy. A few days if driving in consistent rain.

6 hours of interior detailing...did I lose money?

Interior jobs I bill out @ $40 per hour. Exterior @ $65 per hour. 6 hours of detail work in my world is worth $200. The exterior wash and SW is $40. For what you did I would say you came out OK. A little on the table, but you're still learning and it's all good.
