    As for sealing the light it's cheap, easy insurance. TYC quality is usually hit or miss as far as the seal.

    A light polish won't hurt. Curious though why wouldn't you try to restore the originals? As for the TYC lights I would suggest sealing them with clear silicone to prevent moisture.

    Try the green isopropyl alcohol,should be a higher concentration. Also I'd try a steamer if you have access to one.

    Have you tried anything more along the lines of a dressing/protectant? It looks as though the einszett 1z cockpit is more of a cleaner.

    Being interior it should be latex and not oil-based. Depending on where it spilt it may just be easier to remove the carpet and clean outside of the vehicle. Hopefully it's in the cargo area as that piece of carpet should be able to be purchased separately if necessary.

    If you're that concerned to use two grit guards and something to filter why not just use a few wash mitts? That way you'd never introduce dirt into the wash bucket.

    Interestingly enough I bought the whole bucket set up from Autogeek's sister site and the supplied grit guard will not go all the way to the bottom of the bucket either.

    Are you sure it's actually carbon fiber? It looks like a vinyl decal to me.
