You use the least aggressive method to get the results you're looking for. For example you would start with a light polish with a light polishing pad. Then check your results to see if you achieved what you wanted. Always do a test spot

It is not a safety it's the way it's built. If you're looking for something more powerful and/or aggressive take a look at the flex 3401 or a traditional rotary buffer.

Whatever you are using on the paint currently you can use on the headlights to help protect them.

Your claying step should take care of the wax/sealant

The only place to start is it a autobody shop to get an estimate. That or plastidip. The damage is not something that can be polished away.

A tip in case you didn't know. If you're using the dilution ratios listed on the bottle. Fill with water to the black line for your particular dilution ratio. Then fill with the chemical to the circular line just above the label. This will be well before the bottle reduces at the neck.

I don't think that would be good idea. It looks like that kit is more for uncoated aluminum.

Try to find flitz locally. You should be able to find it at a hardware store.

Might be PVD chrome. Do you have any compounds/polishes?

They don't look like chrome to me. More like polished aluminum. Have you tried anything to clean them?
