Where were you on Sept 11 2001?

Midtown Manhattan at my desk as usual. Didn't take me long to leave my office after th first plane hit, my building was right on Central Park with clear access for a plane. Housed people in my apartment for hours and even days as they were able to return home when transportation returned. Will...

    Prima Wheel Armour Review

Thanks for the review. I had put 845 on my MB rims, but that did not cut the exessive brake dust. Maybe this will.

    Second attempt at Family Hauler

Thanks for the encouragement, I can't bring myself to get a polisher. Maybe I am sadistic, but I enjoy doing things by hand. The car is silver and has only been washed by me, so swirls are minimal. I thought the P21S paintwork cleanser would remove light swirling? You have to let the MPL cure...

    Second attempt at Family Hauler

I have always been to nervous to purchase a PC, not something I really want to experiment with. There are few swirls on the car and this is mostly aesthetic. Would the paintwork cleanser prep the paint enough?

    Second attempt at Family Hauler

This is my second attempt to hand wash, polish/sealent, wax my 5 month old Iridium Silver GL450. First time around I washed, griot clayed, z5'd and topped with 845. This time around I am skipping the claying, but wanted opinions from the experts on steps and replacements, this is what I was...

    Clean Running Boards

My running boards take abuse, but always look dirty. They are a OEM metal of some sort? with rubber nubs and plastic siding. What would clean, seal and shine these bad boys? They also get scortching hot in the sun, will a wax help deflect that?

    Questions about sealants

I had recently clayed, zaino z5, 845'd my new car, but I got the bug again and want to get the winter prep ready while I have time. My new plan is to use P21s Paintwork Cleanser, MPL topped with 845. I was told I could top z5 with 845 right after, would that be the same with MPL? or do I need to...

    DD Maintenance Routine?

Hello Eric, I am a shinoholic to. Whew! Happy to get that out. Seriously though, I guess it is a matter of preference, but I really enjoy waxing my car and in a similar situation as a previous poster with the 2 kids, so an opti coat would make sense, but I am going to stick to waxing every few...

    Topping #845? + Timing?

Thanks guys. I might just have to layer the #845 on itself, or I read on the forum that p21s concurs in great on silver. I will post some pics when I am done with either step. I used the 845 on the wheels, would I assume (I know what happens) that a simple wipe down of the rims would suffice or...

    Topping #845? + Timing?

I searched around, and have been reading a bunch. I recently posted my amateur detailing of my new family hauler. Now I am going to ask the amazing collective brain trust of this forum, you have not let me down yet. Here is what I did and where can I go (bit badly by the forum/product bug)...

    Tried 845, Got Poor Results

I am by far no expert on this, but I just posted my own wash, clay, sealent, 845 by hand in the show and shine. It seems I used somewhere between to much and to thin, but the wax hazed a litte and wiped off easily. That was probably due to the fact, like the above poster mentioned that I covered...
