Necessary to do M105 before M205?

I used M105 and M205 on both of my recent details and this advice is dead on. I always start light, and work my way up if needed. No need to waste the time and effort by doing an extra buffing step if it isn't needed. Not to mention the extra wear on the paint surface. I had a few water...

    WG 3.0 and souveran

I did WGDGPS 3.0 on my black BMW. I let it cure for 24 hrs, then did a coat of liquid Souveran. I reapply a quick coat of Souveran once a month or two. From what I've seen, it does give a little better shine and is much easier to do a quick coat.

    At the dealer...

When I take our BMW in for BMW, they look at me funny when I say "DO NOT WASH MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". I was talking to a guy with a gorgeous newer marina blue M6 convertible last time I was there. He laughed and said "I thought I was the only one who refuses to let anyone else touch my...

    '87 IROC Z-28 Detail

Nice work.....that was my first car but with gray trim instead of gold. Biggest p.o.s. car I have ever owned, but still was a cool car.

    Component Speakers

If I were replacing speakers now, I'd go with with either MB or JL. I had a set of the MB 6.5" components in my old '99 Lightning and they sounded great. I've heard some newer systems with JL's and they sound great also.

    2003 Ford Lightning

Dlux did a GREAT job on the old, faded plastic trim. It looks great, now I'll just see how long it lasts. Side steps before : Half way : Side step done : Cowl grill/wipers done :

    2003 Ford Lightning

I finally had the time to do a full detail on my Lightning. Overall, I'm happy with the results. For a 10 year old truck, I can't complain. There were some scratches and water spots. I'd say I got about a 75% correction. For the remaining water spots, it would take wet sanding and I just...

I have both Daytona brushes and they ROCK!! They work great and make cleaning wheels, grills, etc very easy.

    Thoughts on painted calipers...

My Lightning is dark gray and I painted the calipers red. With dark gray paint and stock silver wheels, the red adds a little color. I like red, and maybe blue on the right color car (like on the ZR1's).

    Not to happy.

I ordered a few things on Mike's wedding discount day and got them 2 days later like I normally do. I haven't read all of the replies, but my guess is something was on backorder.

What to use on faded plastic trim that lasts?

I finally got around to ordering the DLux and it came yesterday. Now I just need to find time to get the truck it and detail the thing.
