I'm still blown away by Turtle Wax Trim Coat. Did my 2011 Edge over a year ago with two coats and it still looks amazing!!! My Edge sits outside 24/7 in Michigan. I thought the Tire Coat was good but the Trim Coat is simply amazing.

I've used both and agree 100%. The 111 is also way easier to apply compared to 105. When it comes to nasty winter durability, Z-2 is still the longest lasting sealant I've used but I'm sticking with the 111/601 combo for now.

I don't see a problem doing it unless it's a classic or soon to be classic vehicle. Rustproofing doesn't really show but undercoating can look horrible if not done properly. Even the undercarriage and suspension parts of a summer Queen can start to rust eventually.

I like 3m rustproofing spray for body panels and a thin coat of undercoating for the undercarriage. It's a good idea to touch-up the undercoating every fall.

I didn't like their interior detailer spray. Just seemed like it didn't do much and was really watery so I've been sticking with 303.

I prefer the 111/601 combo for ease of application and the 111 seems to be a little more durable then 105 for me. 111 does look fantastic on dark colors.

I'm still pretty amazed at the longevity I'm getting from the TW coating. Tires still looked good after 5 months on my DD but I wiped another two coats on to get me through the winter.

Well, my initial 3 coats of TW still looks pretty good after 5 months but I just added two more during my winter prep today. Gonna be interesting to see how it holds up to a winter in a wicked salt-belt. I should add that the TW trim coat is also holding up extremely well after 5 months.

Yup, find a paintless ding repair guy and have your insurance cover it. Most insurance companies love when you use PDR and will usually wave any deductible. That vehicle must have super thin metal or those are monster acorns.:)

I take my vehicles to a dent guy that's been doing it for around 30 years. It's pretty cool watching him work. He tapes a mirror to the body and uses an assortment of old trunk rods. Of course his knees, hands and back are about shot after so many years of doing this.

Thanks, but alcohol didn't work. I think this stuff is impervious to any known chemical!!!!:) I ended up wiping it down with the alcohol and applying a few more coats of trim coat.

Black plastic lower trim with the exhaust tip cutouts on my 11 Ford Edge. Turned out really streaky and a lot of the coating is coming off. Funny cuz, after 2 months, the trim coating still looks fantastic on the rest of the trim.

Is there any way to remove the Trim Coat product? For some reason it did not stick well to my rear lower valance and it looks horrible. Maybe I didn't get it clean enough before application.
