I don't think it matters. Personally, I just use 601 bonding agent with the first coat and then layer straight 111 on top. I always did the same thing with Zaino Z-1 and Z-2.

I just put a coat of original ArmorAll on my tires cuz it's all I could find at the cabin. I haven't used this stuff in 20 years but it looks pretty good!!! Can't even remember how long it lasts.

I also use and like the look of Natural Shine but it just doesn't last very long in Michigan. I might try the Turttle Wax coating after I get new tires next month.

Years ago I sprayed my fire damaged white 88 GT Mustang with a HVLP sprayer that we used for house painting and it turned out really nice. I think Harbor Freight sells a High Volume Low Pressure sprayer for around 50 bucks that would work much better then rattle cans.

Thanks for the responses. I did end up using Ultimate polish before sealing but not sure if it made a big difference. Vehicle is a blue/green 2011 Ford Edge. Is Ford clear coat considered to be hard????

Can I seal right after using Ultimate Compound or do I need to use Ultimate Polish before sealing?

I've been trying to find a sealant that will outlast Zaino Z-2 for a while now. So far I've tried Collinite 845, Duragloss 105/601 and I just applied Duragloss 111/601 a few weeks ago. No luck yet but will see how the 111 does.

My new coat of Duragloss 111/601 is sheeting instead of beading. It does make it easier to dry.

Not sure if this is a new product but has anyone tried RainX Upholstery Guard yet? I always use 303 Fabric but RainX products are easier to come by and about 1/2 the cost.
