    Wax or sealent after compound?

Decided to go the Sealant then wax route, I figured that would probably be the quickest. And WOW, did not realize how quick I could lay down some sealant with my PC. At this rate, I should be able to give it a coat of Midnight Sun in the morning, then another tomorrow evening:xyxthumbs: I will...

    Wax or sealent after compound?

I've got some Poli Seal, but was looking to TRY and stick with the Blackfire stuff, only because I am curious how it will turn out since I've not used their products before.

I stand corrected, I have MOST of the line, did not get my hands on that one :D

    Wax or sealent after compound?

Other views, thoughts, input etc.... are welcome. I think I would have time for either 1. Sealant and a coat of wax 2. Two coats of wax Right now thinking sealant and wax as I believe that would give more POP than two coats of wax. Maybe. I need more Red Bull.:buffing:

    Wax or sealent after compound?

I've got the whole line! Which is mostly why it aggravates me, I was REALLY wanting to see how the whole lineup looked on my Mustang. This is the first I have used Blackfire, and the time I had allotted for show prep got sucked away from me. The paint looks beautiful just being compounded, I...

    Wax or sealent after compound?

MUCH to my dismay, I am not going to have the time to fully finish detailing my car before the show. Just about to finish up with Blackfire SRC Compound, and am debating on my next course of action. Not sure whether I should throw a coat of wax on top, or seal it. As it stands, I don't think I...

First FULL detail with Blackfire, does my gameplan make sense?

The paint is in good shape, just a few minor swirls from regular washes. Thanks for the clarification Nick, so the GEP is just for maintaining what is accomplished with the compound and polish, correct?

First FULL detail with Blackfire, does my gameplan make sense?

I had thought about it, but from what I have read, it isn't designed to remove swirls, just hide them. My biggest concern is taking steps that aren't necessary. Like if I were to start with the FP, would the GEP be necessary or could I just go straight to the AFPP. The OCD part of me wants to...

First FULL detail with Blackfire, does my gameplan make sense?

Been a long time user of the Wolfgang line, and LOVED it. Though, the bug started biting me and I wanted to try out the Blackfire line. So I picked up a couple items from the series, then my wife bought me the rest of it. :props: Getting ready to set in and realized I am not entirely sure what...

How do you guys stay comfortable?

Tell him it must be made out of beef jerky, or he will never detail in your town again.

How do you guys stay comfortable?

Not sure about the beer, never been a fan. Think Mikes Hard Lemonade would suffice? The yoga isn't bad, not sure I could hold a buffer and do the downward dog at the same time though...

How do you guys stay comfortable?

One apprehension I always have about detailing is how uncomfortable it can get at times. This past weekend I decided to start a fairly in depth detail of my Mustang, and I realized I didn't have a stool to roll around on. So I ran to Lowes and decided to invest in China and picked up a Kobalt...

Car is at the body shop, not much time to detail..

Oh wow, those pics make my stomach frown... The car got buffed because it had somewhere, somehow, gotten overspray on it. And my buddy that runs the shop is more OCD than I am when it comes to cars and cleanliness. He is the only person I would trust running ANYTHING over my car.

Car is at the body shop, not much time to detail..

Have a car show coming up next Thursday and was planning on picking up my Mustang from the body shop and spending the week detailing her. Through a series of unfortunate events, it doesn't look like I will be able to pick her up until Tuesday or Wednesday. Since I am on somewhat of a time...

Overspray removal, good OTC product suggestions?

Awesome, I have a clay bar, just not sure how much clay lube I have. There's a Wal Mart nearby, will check there for the Meguirs stuff. Thanks a ton guys, will give this a go!

Overspray removal, good OTC product suggestions?

Through a series of unfortunate events, my black Mustang got misted with a fine layer of white overspray. Come Saturday, my car and I are going to be in a big holiday parade, and I need to get her shining. I need a good recommendation for an over the counter polish or compound to remove the...

Its been a year since the great detail

And it is now time again for Mustang Week, so Helleanor has to be detailed again. Last year I ran her through the works; took her apart, washed, clayed, polished, de-swirled, glazed, sealed, then waxed. For this years show, I was going to take a gray pad and run over her with some WG paintwork...

    MF towels getting linty...?

I suppose I will try washing them a few times and see if that helps decrease the fibers left behind. Just got back from a car show, took Best 05-07Im the MAN, but was still irritated that I could not remove the lint from the car.

    MF towels getting linty...?

A few of my towels, even some of my newer ones, are beginning to leave small, individual threads behind. I say lint, but its more like the towels are shedding, and with my car being black, it is super noticeable. To me anyhow. I've been washing them with Tide, no softener, no dryer sheets, what...
