I think the bugs etched the paint. I tried scrubbing at it for awhile and it still looked the same. I'll tell them to keep a bottle.

Well I just got done from trying to remove the caked on brake dust and it worked. I sprayed the dp gel on the rims, scrubbed them with a brush, let sit for a few then resprayed them and they came cleaned. Looks as good as when we first bought the car. Thanks everybody!

you should be fine as long as you don't stick the gun all the way up to the rim and then there is a chance it would take paint off.
