I too would like to know how hard or easy it was to work on the paint of this mkv vw. I have read many mixed reviews regard the clear coat hardness on the newer vw lately, some even suggesting its soft now (candy white mkv gti posted by another member). And great work on that dub. :applause:

I did a quick search and found that some members here use distilled water to prime pads before use with Menzerna polishes due to them being water based. Is that better than using pinnacle xmt pad condition (petroleum based product I believe)? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry again...

Dont mean to interrupt in the thread, but any issues with using pinnacle pad conditioner with menzerna polishes (more specifically SIP and Nano) since they are water based products. Going to be using LC CCS pads.

Great work on the car. black magic pearl is such an awesome colour. Just a quick question about the car ... How hard is the clear on that mkv gti? Is it hard as rock like audi's or is it workable?
