ONR in QD dilution hard to wipe

I use distilled or RO for mixing I just went out and tried vinegar on the windows. I have been noticing when the windshield is wet it has a strange pattern, only where the wipers sweep. The vinegar appeared to get the water spots but when you wet the glass they reappear. You can kinda see...

ONR in QD dilution hard to wipe

So I think the issue is the water spotting. Its all over the place, and I believe that's whats causing the microfiber cloth to drag. What is the best way to wipe down after washing to remove all the spots? Windows, paint, trim, etc. Something that wont kill my LSP? Would vinegar be a good choice?

2012 Chevy sonic - Compounding help

They are the 5.5" LC foam flat pads, I have the LC 5" backing plate I got from the store here. On speed 5, I was pressing pretty hard into the polisher, and the line i marked on the back plate was spinning around pretty fast, probably 20 RPM. I did 3 test spots on the hood to arrive at the...

Ah, well then I will budget for some aggressive pads then. MF or the yellow LC pads? Is there a real difference between the orange and white lc flats? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

2012 Chevy sonic - Compounding help

Budget as in need to wait a few weeks before buying any more products, the recent flash sales destroyed my detailing fund for a bit! I also got the hf da instead of a pricier one since I am just a hobby detailer. I'll re attack this car in a month or so when I can purchase something else to...

2012 Chevy sonic - Compounding help

I went ahead and just put a coat of 845 wax on it last night, I'll tackle it again later. If the UC didnt do much, would a one step like blackfire or HD speed be worth trying? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

2012 Chevy sonic - Compounding help

Wifes car is a 2012 sonic in summit white. The paint is pretty rough, swirl city. I washed it today, then iron x, clay, and now i am trying to get it halfway decent. It doesn't need to be perfect by any means, but i do want it to look presentable. I have the HF DA polisher (on a budget) and LC...

ONR in QD dilution hard to wipe

The car was waxed a while ago, and has been washed several times since then. The collinite is still beading very strong on the horizontal surfaces, doors not so much. Also, I tried KAIO on the windshield per recommendations here, and I was not at all impressed. Is there a trick?

ONR in QD dilution hard to wipe

I am using the QD because I am on well water (iron filtered and softened, then carbon filtered) but I still get a few water spots here and there. I use it to give the whole car a good wipe down after air drying to make sure I get it all off. The collinite is only a couple months old.

ONR in QD dilution hard to wipe

So my car has two coats of Collinite 915 on it. I washed it yesterday using Megs hyper wash and the 2 bucket method and then used the blaster to dry it off. I went around the whole car and wiped it with ONR at quick detailer dilution (8oz to a gallon) and it was incredibly hard to wipe off, it...

New car, been a while since I've been around

I wanted to take a second (on Klasse Act's recommendation) to mention how easy the Collinite 915 wax is to use. I took one of the yellow pinnacle foam applicators and gave it a spritz of ONR quick detail to dampen the pad. Then I gave the pad a half twist on the surface of the wax, and went to...

scraps in black rubber bumper cover

I would look online for that part, install it yourself. I got a whole rear bumper cover for the wife's car for 200 bucks, came factory color. A lot of times that black trim stuff isn't too bad. Usually easy to replace, can find tutorials on YouTube. EDITED TO ADD: I found that lower bumper...

New car, been a while since I've been around

Got the second coat on and the trim and windows done. Pulled it out in the sun to really scan for any swirls, looks like there are none! That collinite 915 really looks good, very very glossy and warm, makes the metallic flake really pop out Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
