Your Favorite Spray Wax (synthetic / carnauba) for Direct Sun use

I have a lot of different spray wax products and I try to like them all, but end up reaching for Meguiar's D156 nine times out of ten. The product just works and it doesn't make a fuss about it. A lot of the cars I work on are dark in color and I know for a fact that D156 is going to perform...

Making a difficult color pop question

Oftentimes it's possible to experience a "deeper" appearance on lightly colored paintwork by introducing darker elements around the subject. Take a look at a white or silver hood of a vehicle that is in an open garage at noon and depth can be more easily discerned - the physical properties of...

    Help detailer trashed my paint!

The majority of my customers are modern Mopar. I normally don't bother with a free-spinning machine and use a Flex 3401 instead. Last year I went through phases where I'd use a Griot's Garage Boss G15 but this year I've used it maybe only a handful of times. Stalling on curved edges and contours...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

A couple weekends ago I had two Challengers come in. The first one ended well but during the session the weather went absolutely nuts. A severe storm started right above my house and it eventually started flooding in my garage. I was in a hurry and didn't get any pictures of the car but did get...

    Solution Finish and Wheel Wells

If I have time this week I'll do a visual comparison on my Challenger's rear passenger side wheel well. I didn't get to it tonight. I'll use Hyper Dressing at 1:1 and 1:4.

    Solution Finish and Wheel Wells

I've been through quite a bit if Hyper Dressing at 1:4. When I tried it at 1:1 it seemed too glossy, or that it left too tall of a "film" on the surface. I'll give it another shot at 1:1 again in the future.

    Solution Finish and Wheel Wells

I used to use Hyper Dressing at 1:4 for wheel wells and always enjoyed how quick the application process is.

    Solution Finish and Wheel Wells

Typically I just use car shampoo, wheel woolies and a wash mitt to dislodge whatever gunk and debris is on the wheel wells. I love using D143 and, more recently, I've thoroughly enjoyed using Power Clean on just about everything. I'd say I've used Power Clean on 90% of the wheels I've worked on...

    Solution Finish and Wheel Wells

For fun tonight I cleaned the wheel wells on my Challenger. Power Clean at 1:3, distilled water, a few brushes and throwaway towels were used. The neat part is what a great job Solution Finish did to darken the plastic wheel well liner and splash guards. I used Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant...

    Fuzion durability and maintenance?

I applied Wolfgang Fuzion to my Challenger late last November. By March it will still present and the water beading on the top half of the car was still pretty good. I don't care too much about water beading, but a lot of folks use it to gauge whether or not any sort of protection is still...

    New FLEX leaked...

I just saw this picture on Facebook and searched for "Flex XFE 7-12 80" on Google and this forum post is the second result. I'm very interested!

Recommended Products for Dodge Redline Tri-Coat

Hello, Randy. I work on a lot of Mopars (more Challengers than anything else). Here's a Redline Red SRT Challenger that received very thorough paint refinishing. Below are a few pictures of the result. The paint was compounded with Griot's Garage Boss Fast Correcting Cream and polished with...

    Spray bottles on Autogeek question

The sprayer on the left comes with the 36oz bottles. The one in the middle comes with Meguiar's bottles if you click on the "add a sprayer for $1.00" option. The one on the right is king of sprayers.

Issue with Wolfgang Uber Rinesless Wash

Eldorado2k is dead on - distilled water is critical. I buy ten gallons at a time from the grocery store. Every product that can be diluted will most likely benefit a great deal by using distilled water. To save on consumption when doing rinseless washes (normally three or four times a week) I...

Review: SCANGRIP Matchpen Swirl Finder Light - Intense Swirl Exposer in a compact size by Mike Phillips

I am curious how this light performs against the Rupes and Flex swirl finder lights. I have both and use the Flex more frequently. Does anyone know of a comparison?
