Meguiar's D114 and McKee's N914 work well to remove compound and polish residue. I use both at 1:128 and it doesn't take much - oftentimes a quick spritz is aid enough to remove residual product. ONR at 1:128 works too, but it lacks the sort of "bite" produced by the other options.

There is no issue whatsoever. The combination of the Boss pads and abrasives work very well with the Griot's Garage machine.
