    Having issues with power lock.

What sort of one-step polish product did you use? If it leaves behind its own protection it may interfere with Power Lock's ability to bond to the paintwork. Another idea is mayhaps there is something in your environment, or the last product that touches your paint, that is masking the behavior...

    Review- The Belt

Great review. Thank you for sharing. I have been using the Flex branded belt since last summer. It is useful when working on engine bays because it holds a ton of brushes. I am thankful for the belt every time I work on a ladder too. :) On every single detail job I wear a Meguiar's apron at...

    Jescar Correcting Compound First Impression

I am getting my Challenger ready to go to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. My car club is getting to drive laps around the track. It will be the second time I've done this and I'm super excited! The hood of my Challenger is used for all manner of product and process testing and as a result...

Product to use to remove compound/polish

Meguiar's D114 and McKee's N914 work well to remove compound and polish residue. I use both at 1:128 and it doesn't take much - oftentimes a quick spritz is aid enough to remove residual product. ONR at 1:128 works too, but it lacks the sort of "bite" produced by the other options.

New orange my wash mitt on AG

Is the mitt similar in feel and quality to the Gyeon Smoothie mitt? I still haven't bought the darn thing so it would be cool if this orange one works as well.

    Just got my G21-questions

Depending on the pad there should be a bit of a gap between the edge of the backing plate and the pad. The velcro on some models of pads fit more snug. What is the make and model of the pads that you have? I notice a lot more vibration when I use a pad that is not attached as close to center as...

    Whats your "Go To" Polish?

There is no issue whatsoever. The combination of the Boss pads and abrasives work very well with the Griot's Garage machine.

    New Guy from Texas

Hobie, I see that you're in Katy, TX. Last year I was there during Lone Star Mopar Fest and had a blast! My Mopar group also went to the Hemi Hideout and it was great. Katy is a fun place in October! :)

Good product for protecting rubber door moldings from UV rays

You may want to look up Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. It can be used on external rubber, vinyl and even hard surfaces like chrome. It is a great product. http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-trim-sealant.html

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I agree! Here in North Texas today it is windy but the sun is out and the temperature is nice and cool. It's perfect weather for rinseless washing in the garage. :)

    Foam cannon help

You'll see thicker foam if you use less water. I don't use my foam cannon too often anymore, but when I do I use two ounces of soap and between ten to fifteen ounces of water and it is more than enough to cover a full-size sedan or coupe. The method is to apply a layer of soap onto the surface...

Ooooh that smell: Favorite smelling products

The smell of Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash is addictive. I recently started using McKee's 37 Fast Interior Detailer and it smells absolutely amazing - like manly Heaven. If I had to choose a favorite it would definitely be ONR Wash and Shine. It's fantastic! On a related note, my wife and I went...

Ooooh that smell: Favorite smelling products

Griot's Garage Boss Finishing Sealant reminds me of a mixture of womens' perfume and wine. It's a very "different" smell, isn't it? I love working with it! Griot's Garage Poly Wax smells like Christmas. Maybe that means cinnamon and pine. I doubt those scents are actually in there, but smell can...

    What are you listening to...?

"Blood of the Kings" by Manowar from the album "Kings of Metal." Oftentimes I'll listen to the whole thing on repeat whilst working on a car. The album is perfect and I can never seem to play it loud enough! :)

Wolfgang DG Paint Sealant 3.0 vs Wolfgang DG Spritz Sealant

I've used Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on many, many vehicles and I can't say enough good things about it. You will not be disappointed with the product's long-term protection and appearance. The Wolfgang Spritz Sealant is great too. It's useful on door jambs, the underside of hoods, the...

Are all interior protectants created equal?

Another vote for Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber Protectant. I used McKee's 37 Total Interior Protectant a few times but the smell was too much (like baby powder) for my nose. The Wolfgang protectant smells better in this person's opinion and is reminiscent of their leather conditioner (read: a sort...
