Clay bar only removes contamination embedded in the paint. It won’t remove the film you spoke of. Let me know how you make out.

Before polishing with PPE, I would use a clay bar in order to remove all contamination. If the surface feels at all rough, definitely clay. All other steps look on point, good luck.

Since you have Wolfgang Sio2 paint sealant, I would use Wolfgang Sio2 silica spray on top of the sealant or as a stand alone product. I have used this combo on my red Hyundai Sonata and the paint absolutely glows. Great combo.

Can’t go wrong with Sonax polishes. I have used Cut and Finish, Ex 04/06, and NP 03-06 with excellent results.

Thanks for info. I’m not a racer but, have been a drag racing fan my whole life. Sportsman as much as the pros. Know what you mean about TD getting very quick last couple years. I’m in SE Pa. Go to the LODRS Div.1 race at Maple Grove every year. If you’re racing this year, good luck.

I used NSP Z1 on my wife’s gray 2020 Hyundai Tucson. Used the Flex 3401 with a white LC hybrid polishing pad. 6 section passes, light pressure, wipe off immediately after section passes. Used 3 nickel sized dollops on 5.5 inch pad. Wipe off was a breeze. Very nice product.
