i always thought AIO was the wax and then you use the SG to seal it and protect the finish for longer. i was wrong apparently, but i know a few people who use only that combo with excellent results and it really lasts here is a pic of my car from last august when i used AIO + SG only

SG does not come off by hand very easily if you let it sit like the directions tell you too

2000 grit has about as much bite as cheap paper towels, 3000 grit would be like Puffs extra plush kleenex

i plan to apply the wax by hand, that doesn't take too long, then i can just toss the foam pads like i always do it is the removal that interests me because removing AIO, then SG by hand sucks big time. especially if i decide to add a coat of caranuba over the top of that

i think i will try the mothers this weekend if i get a chance to try my XMT #2, #1, AIO, SG. if i still have time after all that, then i will try it, otherwise the SG will have to be the final for a while
