    Detailing process

:iagree: M105 dusts like crazy! If you polish seal half the car you will have to wash the car about 4 times before the project is over. If this is your first time try Meguairs Ultimate Compound/polish. You will get a little more work time vs M105, 205. They also dust a lot less. Just my opinion.

    Meguiars Endurance products

I use the endurance gel. I have never had sling at all. It leaves a great shine and a little goes a long way. Only CON that I have is that it is horrible to clean. It never comes off completely. Other than that, it's great. If you only use it on your car one gel bottle should last you a year at...

New Mytee Products Now Available @ Autogeek!

I've replaced switches and had to have a company come out and fix a vacuum problem. I believe their warranty is 90days. Really? 90days. Luckily the repair man comes to my town once a week just to fix mytees at local shops, instead of me driving an hour to a mytee repair shop.

    Networking & New customers

    1. Use craigslist, this should bring in new customers and with good work word of mouth should help. 2:Go to your local chamber of commerce meeting, you will meet other local business owners and they should all have cars. 3:if your at walmart or any auto part store (in the detailing supplies...

Another carpet extractor question lol may be my last haha

When I started I used the LGM, I now have a mytee lite. With the little green machine I can detail the interior of a bad small SUV in 6 hrs, with my mytee lite I can do it in 3. Time is money, not to mention the LGM leave the interior really wet. Honestly If you want something for RIGHT now, go...

Should I clay before restoring headlights?

Waste of time for me. I usually sand first, so no reall need to clay. Polish is the last step for me so any little scratches in the headlight is polished out.

    Headlight Restoration Q

Personally I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't open it or put any type of liquid inside. If there's any condensation in the wiring connections you might short something. Too much of a risk for me.i would pass

New Mytee Products Now Available @ Autogeek!

I've had my mytee lite for a while now and really like the way the product performs. While it does a good job, the warrantee sucks and I've had tons of problems with it. Called the company and basically nothing. I had to come out of pocket for some parts that needed to be fixed because the...

    Choosing a new vac

:iagree: I love all my ridgid vacuums. They SUCK!! Mine is similar to the one above minus the wheels. I got it on sale for $39 instead of the one shown above and I bought 2. They are little but have 5hp and they are great! You can't go wrong, I would stay away from the shopvac brand, bad...

    Carpet spray paint?????

Well, yesterday while talking to another detail guy he mentioned he used regular spray paint, your just paying extra for the "carpet" stuff. I immediately thought, won't regular spray paint make the carpets hard. So I went home pulled a mat from my truck and had some same colored spray paint...

    Carpet spray paint?????

I saw this product today at an auto part store and was wondering if anyone had any experience using it. On occasion I might have a few stubborn stains that don't completely come out of a carpet, but never justified using this. Anyone with experience please chime in.

    Building for rent

Just my opinion. If I were you I'd jump all over it. With that being said, have you crunched some numbers? Have you taken ALL your expenses into consideration ie:rent, electricity, employees, unemployment insurance, workers comp, liability insurance? All that adds up quick. How will you pay your...

Got the call I was waiting for....

Yeah I will. Right now I block off two days a week for delerships. The rest of the week is for my regular customers. Agreed. The guy explained to me what he wants done and it shouldn't be hard. Most cars are already on line, I'll have to double check them and make shure there are no stains or...

Got the call I was waiting for....

So a few days ago I get a call from a delership (I know what your thinking, hold on); usually I turn them down, but I've had dealerships that actually pay good money (good being $100/car) so I entertain them. Today I met up with their sales manager, I was thinking I was going to detail their...

    Fairly new Detailer

Ok, I live in Killeen, Tx. Your near abiline right? If so maybe cater to some people there. With 10,000ppl that is small but there should be at least 5-10 people out of those 10k that want their car detailed every week. Here, there is a lot more competition. Lately it seems like everyone with a...
