    13 hour excursion detail

It's all good bud! I used to do the same thing back in high school; I would charge my neighbor the same whether I did his 4 door Jag or beefy Tahoe. He was a neighbor though so I wanted to help him out as much as I could. Good luck on the WRX; those are pretty neat cars. It's always a treat...

    I was enjoying this topic!

I guess some posts got deleted; probably for the better. Status Detailing - You can still finish out with a rotary. Just be sure to clean the surface after you're done with something like IPA or Menz Top Inspection. Even though you can't check your work in the direct sunlight, you should still...

    Sealant makes chipping worse?

Chances are this stems from Acuras (and Hondas) historically having very soft paint, not the sealant itself. The clear coat is not "hard" enough to protect against stone chips compared to something like a Corvette or an Audi.

    This is true lol.

    Rotary Only High Gloss Shots

I appreciate your posts Hoytman. Unfortunately that other thread got locked so no more posts can be added. I was hoping that by starting a brand new thread about the same topic would actually continue on the discussion, and you so generously did so. Now to discuss what you said about...

    Rotary Only High Gloss Shots

Hi Magnus! I use a Dewalt 849. I've only used LC pads since I started detailing. I don't see any reason to change, though I may change from CCS to flat pads in the near future.

Am I the Grinch Who Stole Christmas?

He probably got banned or suspended from the forum. Heaven forbid you post anything out of line on this forum...you end up getting a time out.

**Free Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant**

Shouldn't the first person who guessed within one number already get it then? Are you looking for someone to guess the actual number?

Am I the Grinch Who Stole Christmas?

I agree there hasn't been too much that is tempting to buy yet. Today was like "clear out Pinnacle day." I will say that it's awesome that there's a sale in the first place and that so many products are on sale each day versus just one or two. Maybe they're just saving the best stuff for the end.

    Rotary Only High Gloss Shots

I think we can agree to disagree with that piece. It's all good man. :props: Anyways...let's see some more pictures guys!

    Rotary Only High Gloss Shots

That was actually with a blue LC pad with M205. It could have even been taken a step further and followed up with something like 3M UF, but I didn't feel it was necessary for a DD. Metallic Slate is not a color I would consider "light." Whether the paint is metallic or not...if there were any...

    Rotary Only High Gloss Shots

Hello all. Thought about starting a thread for others to view and post their final shots after finishing down with a rotary. Learning to finish down with a rotary takes some practice, but once you've mastered it, there's nothing better than seeing that high gloss finish that only a rotary can...

It is a little hard to remove hologram from M105

Perhaps the focus should be more on factual information being shared versus how it's shared.

TLC Auto Detail - Nissan GT-R Full Correction (finished with a rotary ZOMGBBQ!)

Great work Dave, that's one wet looking GTR. I didn't know it was possible to finish out hologram free with a rotary...I thought that was only feasible if you were using a DA...at least based on what I've read here. Can you show me how to do this?

It is a little hard to remove hologram from M105

So it's ok for one of AG's own to make sly or arrogant comments...but when a regular member does...then we have to get a "time out?" Whatever floats the AG boat I guess.

I guess it's only against the rules when the "expert" gets called out. :xyxthumbs:

It is a little hard to remove hologram from M105

No offense...but these two comments just seem contradictory to me. The fact of the matter is that a hologram free finish is 100% possible with a rotary...you just need to know how to use it. Also, I don't believe any forum rules have been broken here...then again...not surprising that just...
