MENZERNA and rotarys....How much do I use?

With Menzerna, there's no need to use a pad conditioner. Just use the polish itself to prime the pad. A little bit goes a long way with Menzerna. You can use about 4 pea sized dots on the pad to do a 2x2 area.

    Overwhelmed with the PC

I see what you're saying. Unfortunately, he didn't know that by buying a black car meant he just started his second job lol.

    Detailing and the enviornment?

I wash my car like normal. What comes off my wheels and car is the same junk that gets washed down the sewer. I mean, your car did pick it up from the street in the first place. I guess the chemicals would be the thing to worry about such as the soaps and acids in wheel cleaners etc. I'm not...

    Overwhelmed with the PC

Oh yeah, if you're using a PC, don't go any bigger than 5.5" pads.

    Overwhelmed with the PC

What does being a daily driver have to do with it? If anything that means it would have more defects and need a more aggressive combo. Mustangs can come with harder clears and 105 might be necessary. It all depends on how much the dealership hacked it up and how it looks now. You will need to...

    Overwhelmed with the PC

After washing and claying, you would start with 105/orange until you reach the correction level desired and then move down to 205/white to clean up the 105 and then finally a finishing polish with a blue CCS pad to clean everything up. Top it off with your Souveran and you're good to go!

    Overwhelmed with the PC

Hi Mike! Welcome to the forum! It looks like you have a good start there. If you want to do any correction at all (and not kill your arms), you will need to get a machine. I started with a PC last year and it was great! It's very easy to use and can't harm your paint. What kind of car do you...

Detailing after it rains. What is needed?

If you just washed and waxed it, there's no sense in wasting time washing it again. The wax/sealant that you put on there is on there for a reason; protection against the elements. I would just go out there with a MF towel and some quick detail and wipe everything down. If you do decide you...

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

You need more than just a rotary. If you use any kind of paint cleaner or apply any kind of wax by any method other than hand, you need a DA. :)

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

I'm pretty sure 85rd will work with a DA. I've never used it, only UF, but I think I've read about people using it. You will just have to work it in like crazy. Post up some pictures of the results!

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

Yes, Ultrafine is a great polish and I agree that 205 needs to be followed up, but with using a PC, you can't use UF. You could use something like Menzerna 106.

    2007 Cobalt SS/SC Polish

Thank you Killr! I enjoyed working with it! It's not very difficult as long as you just take your time. If you haven't tried it, I would recommend this product.

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

You need to start with the least aggressive first. Give 205 and gray a shot and see what it does. If you're happy with the results, then follow up with a less aggressive polish. If you're not happy with the results, then step up to 105 and orange. You always want to start of with the least...
